Its an Allan keyed bung brad from klr told me I could use it as an oil feed....if I could get it out....its in a very awkward spot to get to and now it's very round from me trying to get it out...bloody impossible after years of rust I was going to dremel a cross into it and try with a Philips but it's so hard to get to

I have a centrifuge filter on the passenger side. It's fed by a connection silver soldered to a plug on the oil filter housing. It's a significant flow, so would probably need a restrictor if used for turbo oil supply.

My turbo gets oil from same point as vac pump. Like Isuzurover it's been trouble free for years.

I've finally decided to get the oil from the steel pipe with the oil pressure switch sticking out the side of it, the turbo came with a t-piece so I'll piggy back from there

[QUOTE=isuzurover;2189373]Your best option is to go to a wrecker and buy a complete tapppet cover assembly from a 4BD1T and also a blanking plate to cover the side breather.

This converts from 2 breathers to 1 which is a much simpler operation. The breather line from the tappet cover is then plumbed into the provent and the outlet from the provent either vents to air or to the intake after the air filter but before the turbo. The drain from the Provent either can go to a sealed catch can or via a one-way valve (should be supplied with Provent) to the same place as your turbo drain.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

So if i cover the side breather (where the old oil breather came out of) with a blanking plate (i can either buy from wreckers or just use a piece of flat steel with four mounting holes in it). Then i'd have to replace my tappet cover because i have a tiny breather in it where as the turbos had a large breather hole, is it a 1" outlet? Any one know what the part number for this cover would be?

For the oil drain on the provent which i believe is a 1" is it ok if i reduce down to a 3/4 elbow fitting feeding back into the engine?

Turbo breather is 19mm. Provent inlet and outlet 25mm provent drain 12mm.

You could modify std tappet cover to 25mm breather but would definitely need to plumb provent drain.

My motor vents from side cover to the Provent.

I'm assuming those top stays for the intercooler are just to hold it there temporarily.
What is the plan for the final support? Something across the whole width, or pick up on the bonnet support frame somehow (I'm assuming the Perentie has similar bonnet latch/support to defenders).

The intercooler is bolted on to blocks welded to the chasis down the bottom, top supports are just incase and there to stop any movement up top ( which there isn't any). Used 25x25x3mm angle so it's strong as hell. Used the nutsert gun from work which holds them to the body.
