It's surprising what is actually dealer fitted, eg. Tow bars, xenon lights, lockable cubby box etc. the bullbar and checker plate would be the dealers own spec. There are also dealer fitted side runners (which, IMHO, are better as they are wider).

Ask them to provide a screen shot of the factory order, and you'll quickly see what is determined at the factory.
I will do if they continue being uncooperative - cheers.

I'm picking my car up from the service centre tomorrow. I'll see what they say about this Runout Pack rubbish.
    Cheers, Billy.

I'd be talking to JLR Customer Service, this morning.
Let us know what they say.

Back around the end of last millennium, if you bought a Mitsubishi sedan with AC, it was fitted by the dealer.

    1973 Series III LWB 1983 - 2006
    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.

As others have said, if it's not what you ordered, then they should remove those unwanted accessories. Just refuse to pay any more. They can't make you pay for stuff you didn't order.

    UPDATE:

The salesman was calling and emailing all morning saying they had other buyers if I didn't want this 'Runout Pack'.

I've let him know I'm contacting Land Rover HQ in Australia and the UK to argue against it, and have called the Land Rover Australia 1800 number and asked them to check. Also sent a message on the UK Land Rover Facebook Page asking for their assistance.

Will update again once I hear back from someone.

    Bloody hell, that's deplorable.

and that's an edited and highly sanitised response to what I wrote initially.

Yes I had this fantasy notion in my head that people who sell Land Rovers would be straight shooters who represent the tradition and the brand - but so far it's left a bad taste in my mouth.
