For the reservoir mounts, go find a hydraulic shop (enzed or pirtek will be the best bet). Ask them to order 4 of Stauff part SPVXXXXPPDPAS.
It's a hydraulic pipe clamp, with extended base that allows it to be bolted down rather than the usual weld on. The XXXX is a reference to the size (diameter) required, it'll be something like 50420, which would be a group 5 (references the base size, when you go to a diameter that's wider than the bolt spacing you need to go to a wider base/bolt spacing) 42.0mm diameter.
Heres a reference to their PDF, http://www.oilsolutions.com.au/stauf...Assemblies.pdf
Replace the SP in the part no with SPV for the extended bases you'll require.
So with these shocks. There is no rubber in the mounting?
Just the RTE mount solid mounted to the lower mount with a bolt thru the shock. But there is some spacers to stop sideways movement of lower mount of the shock?
And the top is just a bolt thru the upper shock tower and shock?
As for the pin setup. I was showing a mate who has a GQ. And he wishes they had a pin/pin setup. As he thinks these are a bargain.
Yes these are steel on steel, no rubber. I have not noticed any more road noiseor vibration yet but it's only been a couple of days.
You need bushes for the standard LR mounts because the LR bolts are 12mm and the shock eyes are 1/2". The RTE mounts come with 1/2" bolts so no bush needed and the shocks come with 4 spacers per shock. You ditch 2 of the spacers in the front and use the bushes and ditch all 4 spacers in the rear.
They rose joints are also narrower than the std shocks so I spaced mine with high tensile washers. They took 3 each side of the rose joint with the bush already in place so 6 in total at each joint.
Happy Days.
Thats correct, the rose joint is a pivoting spherical type joint that is solid, there is no rubber in it.
Mine at least came with a shim to bring the 1/2" bush size in to suit the 12mm bolts that the Discovery2 uses, but these dont bring the width out enough to match a regular shock bush crush tube. I used some spacers to suit. The GQ/GU rear is eye to eye, so these will suit in that application. Actually, I use GQ/GU rear shocks in the front of my Disco2.

Cheers thanks Joel.
I will be ordering in September. Wish I had the money now. As I cant see the dollar getting any better.
How much have they worked out to be each delivered inlcuding spacers and RTE mount? (if you dont mind me asking).
So if you were to mount these with pin/eye converters which were mounted on rubber bushes, would the rose joints last or not. Or should I just spend the coin and get bolt in pin/pin shocks!
