What's "the dreaded d4d knock"?
The Injectors on the D4d engine start to go out of specs & can fail and when they do, they can put a hole in the piston... Mainly on the early D4D's but there is a few of the later ones starting to fail, but the ones I know of have all been chipped to get more out them....
I believe Idid say my d2 was a manual so no sports mode or any thing else I did give thought to a remap but don't trust them and would need convincing of there safety to my motor. As IRead through the posts here there are a lot of different points of view some here need to put their view across a bit more respectfully.
I Googled it and found a number of threads on other fora where users (including Robmacca) have had positive things to say about them.
However, when the good things said come from a reseller, my guard does go up. Is it the result of seat of the pants dyno effect? No idea.
I'd like to see real data.

What does it cost?
What a fantastic device.

Imagine the possibilities..![]()
Ron,
I hope you are not referring to me as a reseller?
If so, then you are very much mistaken....
I can't believe the conversation this topic has bought up..... This device doesn't give u more power, etc. You have the same power as u had before installing the device, it just alters the throttle response, that's it....
Those that ridicule it without any 1st hand experience, need to be a little bit more open minded. I've given my 1st experience but not for LR's. I do not know if the same would apply to LR's, but odds are that it would...
