See i dont pay for a service so im richer for it and im happy with my system so far it works for me

Maybe it is the theory i live by carring a good range of tools some hose and cable ties and some hose clamps assorted nuts and bolts as i have never failed to make it home from anywhere .
No im not bragging or having a dig at anyone but always give it a go , Hell a old holden i owned once i even changed a timing gear in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road I might have hitched a ride to get said parts but i got home

Mine had eaten the A clutch pack in the trans. I'd love to watch you fix THAT in the side of the road, Chris.

Red or Grey motor timing gears are a snap. Done a few myself, especially as the old pressed fibre ones often self destructed. No bent valves to deal with. The hardest thing about that job was guessing the timing marks in the spiral gears, and that only took two goes. The things even had side plates so you could deal with the lifters if you needed to.
