Well, battery charger on Bluey (1999 D2 7 seater) for a couple of days while I moved a new Kenworth from Melbourne to Toowoomba, home just on dark tonight and thought I'd give the key a twist.
I wasn't expecting much - either no start, start with clatter and bang and/or clouds of smoke, or maybe a splutter or two. (bluey has been sitting in an auction yard since April).
About three rotations, and a lovely vroom noise - could hardly believe my ears!
No smoke - no dash lighting up - not even the 3 amigos!
Now to sort out a parts list for Mario and Heather, (filter kit, 2 x sls airbags, and an egr removal kit, for starters). And have to get hold of Colin to organise a D2 Td5 unlock for the Nanocom.
In the words of the unforgettable Big Kev - I'm excited!!!!
