Also, a couple of hundred kms behind the wheel of Bro's manual TDi300 has made me start yearning for an R380 in the TD5....I'm undecided whether I should start putting together a manual conversion for it, or start looking for a nice manual TD5 and swap my upgrades onto it before shifting my auto.....

Manual TD5s aren’t remotely as good as an Auto TD5 with a HDTC

    In what way?
i know I'll lose some slow speed crawl ability and pootling in traffic...but I do over a thousand km a week mostly on rural roads and I much prefer manual in those conditions...

i now have a good double cardon driveshaft so I have taken diff lock out and I'm back in 4wd!
Also now have nice Rhino roof bars and an awning...old roof bars sold to little bro.
TJM bull bar isin my yard waiting to be fitted tomorrow and the wombat crunched front bar is taken off.
Safari snorkel is waiting to go on so I won't be vacuuming dirt out of my air box every 2 months...
im looking for a half decent priced winch to go on it now.

I not so fun news, the small diesel leak is confirmed as the fuel pressure regulator, and in the last few days it has gone to about 2 drips a second...fuel gauge dropped a lot more than it should have today!
This trumps the new ABS sensor I need, and it also gets in front of the winch and VDO gauges I was going to fit...I'll be ordering one in the morning!
Wow, your going to be busy

    Shiny new Nanocom arrived today...

Got it registered, etc. Car now has a MUCH more sensible EKA and yes, I did test it...

It's also showing EGR stuck open. Cleared the code and it comes back immediately so I s'pose it's time to fit the EGR delete kit that I got with the car 2.5 years ago...
    Cheers,

The HDTC makes it hook up quicker, using the torque more effectively from the engine.

Just jumps into the torque band and goes, no off the line delay etc.

On the highway she’s locked up anyway.
