Thread: What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Don't jack the car up on a side slope, even with jack stands it can slide to one side. Just ask me!!

I have just bought a 2003 with a spare set of 18" alloy wheels, what on earth will I do with them?

Now when I get those air (SLS) bags I will do one side at a time.

Thanks Mario, got the air bags BUT.
The car is outside and it's 40 c in the shade! Tomorrow is set to be the same, I might just be working the night shift tonight!

or buy a slab invite a mate around instruct him and supervise and when he's finished give him one of your beers, VB beer seems to be a currency widely accepted on very hot days.

The day has to be damn hot before VB becomes even slightly drinkable.....and the VB needs to be cold enough to anaesthetise your taste buds!

I personally don't drink it ,but in Melbourne nearly every tradie uses it as currency.

Hi There,
So a couple of weeks ago I parted company with my D2, somebodies need was greater than mine. Fear not the other motivation was I had found another RRS at a bargain price.......... now I have two of them.........Ha!!

The week between Christmas and new year we went to Suggan Buggan and spent a very pleasant few days reading, dozing, sitting in the river, drinking, etc. The climb out to Buchan towing the camper on a hot day saw the viscous clutch in the fan engage so temps must have got up there a bit. Checked the coolant at Bruthan and again when we got home and again today after a week of commuting to Morwell and back and it's down about 100ml. It hasn't moved over the last week so I let sleeping dogs lie.

Today I had a look around and under and lo and behold the little bugger behind the turbo is where the coolant escaped from. It's not leaking now but I'm sure it will soon enough. There's plenty of coolant stain around there.

Anyone got any tips or tricks to make changing the little hose easier ? I know I'll leave a bit of knuckle skin around the place but I'd like to only leave the minimum amount...:-)
