The sliding joint has a grub screw which needs to be replaced with a grease nipple for greasing. Return the grub screw when finished greasing. Sorry I can't remember the thread size.

I casually mentioned to some one non landy related I was thinking of selling it and that night the word got around quick. The buyer approached me and was so keen to take it off my hands even at 10pm he wanted to check it out. He took it for a test drive and sold it to himself, I did not have to say a word.
Sad day for me. but I move on
I saw it driving past me this morning. Trouble will passing it on to a local.......

    Washed the Toolangi mud

Today was a quick trip to MLR in South Melbourne to pick up a FINISHER ASSEMBLY-REAR BUMPER, RH Part number: DQR101080, suprisingly cheaper than online and no postage. If the "all New Discovery" wasn't on view I would have been in and out in a few minutes.
The car also got the Toolangi mud washed off, including the stuff under the bonnet from the muddy water thrown up by the fan. The Toolangi trip is why I needed a new trim part.
I'm yet to fit new trim clips that hold the rear bumber outer onto the rear bumper inner. That's a summer job.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Replaced lock nuts with normal nuts on wheels. Something oddly satisfying about using the big torque wrench to make them all 140 Nm.
Replaced broken plug for coolant temp sensor.
Finished design for storage system where the second row seats used to be and water tank now is.
Test packed a bunch of stuff for the big adventure and it fits well.

Washed mine and thought I really need to replace that harmonic balancer, new front discs and pads, questionable fuel pump, engine harness with oil, find that annoying rattle behind the dash, replace the engine mounts, install those diff breathers I got 3 years ago, put that steering wheel cover on, change those noisy bushes, fix the drooping headliner, put a new set of injector copper washers in, wrap the deteriorating air filter tube with that silicon self annealing tape I bought (also three years ago), fix the sump leak, transfer leak, coolant hose weep and transmission leak, look into why I have one amigo (srs light) and finally seal that rear right hand vent to stop dust coming into the cab on dirt roads. I chose to ignore all that though and just drive it instead What happened to your Discovery 2 today?
