Washed the car for the first time in I don't know how long.
Recalibrated the coolant temp sensor on my Madman EMS unit so it matches what the Nanocom reads
Tried to read the fault codes in the ABS system by bridging the connectors in the relay socket and reading live but don't know what I found - I get a regular amber warning light.
Checked the red plug in the ECU and full of oil so ordered a new harness - last replaced 2010 and haven't checked regularly but I don't get issues.
If I find some spare time on a weekend all I have to do is head to the D2, there's always something satisfying to work on.

I was thinking of putting the thermostat before the standard cooler so it runs through the standard cooler until it reaches 82 then runs through the extra cooler then back through the standard cooler .... keeping the trans at ideal operational temp!
On my Td5 I think the drivers side is the hot side of the auto cooler.
Keen to see how you go.
Recently (suddenly or ... unexpectedly only until I turned the key on doing inspection and heard her engine sound, I sold my heart) being a new owner of a Td5 2001 Auto with only 129k kms on clock with like new condition in/out, I was surprised and tired with her (my little boy calls the car "him" because he said it looks a bit of handsome, but I like to call "her" because I want to stick with a "woman" but not a "man") very funny flat spot between 2200 - 2500 rev and poor performance on hills. Tried to clean the oily harness, clean the MAP, clean the MAF without success. Although unplugged MAF sensor would reduce the performance which already was poor => so it seems the MAF sensor still working at some degree.
Until tonight, just fitted a new MAF sensor (well, I purchased the MAF sensor on eBay which they indicated to be used for either BMW and Landrover or even Hyundai and Ford for just 1/4 price of the same aftermarket MAF sensor from a well-known local auto shop that I always thought they were very good and low price, ouch!).OMG, she is back. The performance is way better without the disappointed flat spot between 2200-2500 revs, the power is really good in the whole range of revs as what I can feel, and I am very pleased to drive her like a "little" racing car tonight around Sydney.
Can't wait to try some new remap/chips/tuning box.

EGR delete kit fitted.
CS2 MAP tuning kit fitted.
Still on the running trial distance (within 300kms) but already feel so sweeeeet ! The car is no longer a "snail" but rather than a "snake" -i am sure snake is quite a bit faster than a snail.
