    How did you cut it?

(I'm no machinist) Cutting out the slot in the sunroof blank was a lot more difficult than you would think, weird sort of rubbery plastic which is difficult to cut. Assume it was with a Dremel, did you use a cutting wheel or abrasive? About to cut the centre dash to fit an 8" Alpine head unit which is about half a cm too big to fit across the space (the top of the dash I always knew was going to be trimmed), Used a wheel to cut the instrument binnacle and as you describe, it is unusual plastic. So not sure, wheel or abrasive?

    Hi
I actually used a soldering iron and melted it then just tidied it up with a sharp Stanley knife. I tried all sorts of dremel type tools with no success.

Rotary tool with a rotary cutting bit works great.
They’re like a drill bit different helix.
Acts like a plunge router and cuts clean

Finally got around to mounting the old ARB compressor behind the rear storage bin.
To be honest it was a little bit of stuffing around but came out ok i reckon.

Wiring was rerouted post photo op, tidied up and secured. How it runs in these pics ended up fouling on the bin once it was reinstalled.

Relocated the rear parking sensor to a very conveniently located hole up above so that was a bit of a win. Almost no mods needed for this.

8mm push in airline running up and out the grommet behind the tail light and down into the ARB push in quick connect mounted to another very conveniently located hole on the tow bar assembly.

Used all of the wiring harness from the original setup so its honestly a little rough. It'll do for now though and means no more throwing the old portable compressor in the back every time I'm out for a fourby.

Which ARB is this one? Is it big enough to fill 4 tires after being in the dunes?

Just the standard single pump that comes in the tackle box looking setup. Can easily do 4 tyres, just give it time to rest if you're going to do other peoples tyres though.

I've always wondered how much a different a small fan to blow cooling air over the head of those compressors would make. It's not like it's going to make it any noisier
