But it would be good to work with you and learn a few of your tricks.

We have 31 PM's for next (short) month, and there is only 3 of us, plus all the other stuff.
And 6 not yet done this month.

We could do with another tech, but finding one that is half good is like finding rocking horse poo

Anyway, see below, i have another job for you down at the local Coles
This is high priority,1 hour response time

There is no frozen product in the store at all.

We've just put on a new bloke but he's only a 3rd year fridgey, qualified sparkie, so that makes four of us now. One for the fridgies

I reckon you'll be teaching me Paul, I'll definitely be picking your brains on chillers, I know enough to be dangerous there.

And Des, the border's open so come on over.
You can give the young blokes some stick One for the fridgies

I just found out today one of our engineers at head office did his time with a bloke that I used to know, because he did his time with dear old dad.
This industry is so bloody incestuous! One for the fridgies

Sounds like it is time to get yourself a little gaff on Mount Tambourine & ditch your moby.

I say that each year as well & I'm not even out in it working.

Yep Summer down here was a bastard & probably not much better up there. La Nina is here this year & already it looks more like the Summers we used to know & look forward to.

The big boys get tetchy when an entire rack goes down.

They lost the LT rack in one of the local stores here six months ago.
It was out for a week. The poor local store tech was stressed to the hilt as it was an issue well above his pay grade, they had the original commissioner come in to sort it out.
The EXV's on the cascade heat exchanger (condenser) wouldn't play the game, and you cannot exceed about -2° in the CO2 condenser.

I dunno how Des would go, trying to find leaks with his halide leak detector, and spending all day looking for that bottle of R502,that went missing.
Oh, and the bottle of R12 the apprentice said was in the corner of the shed but cant seem to find it.

Anyway,he is sure to be a better worker than 90% of these young blokes, and shouldn't spend all day on Face Book

I am sure you could teach me a bit about CO2,never been near the stuff, dont want to at those pressures either.

I noticed out the back there were a heap of free standing freezer cabinets, brand new,4 door I think, on wheels, ready to go in, about 8 of them.
Four Danfoss compressor units sitting on top of each.

CO2 cascades aren't so bad, they're only R410a pressures but you cannot trap liquid anywhere or you are in deep do do. So you have to keep pressures above 60psi so you don't form dry ice.

Thanks Paul, it does sound a bit challenging to say the least. Different work ethics does that.
