    The Saga Continues.

    Found this interesting article.

Kurtly Beale pleaded for forgivness from former Wallabies staffer Di Patston after inadvertently sending her two crude text message pictures in June, saying; "I just do stupid things for no reason." A series of text messages between Beale and Patston in the hours after the June incident sheds extraordinary light on the entire saga that has consumed Australian rugby over the last two weeks. The exchange shows the deep distress of Patston,Beale's remorse and the fact that the former Wallabies staffer not only forgave Beale but pledged to not tell coach Ewen McKenzie or the ARU. In the presence of three other Wallabies,Patston told Beale she would reveal the contents of the texts if another incident arose in the future. When Beale verbally abused Patston on a flight from Johannesburg to Sao Paulo three weeks ago,the distressed Wallabies staffer told Ewen McKenzie about the text messages. She flew home two days later and resigned from her role last Friday due to stress. McKenzie has been forced to deny widespread rumours of having an intimate relationship with Patston.

After Beale sent two images of overweight, naked women to Patston, she texted back:"What did i do to you? You have barely known me a day. I can't stop crying i am so humiliated by this." Beale responds by apologising: "I hate i have done this to you and i am so sorry Di." After meeting later that afternoon,Patston tells Beale she has forgiven him. "I...won't be telling Ewen,or the ARU as you are entitled to one mistake and be a better person for it," she writes. Beale replies: "I can't believe your not going to tell Ewen or the Aru this means so much to me and i have learned my lesson i promise you. You have been very kind to me Di and i'll never do anything like this again....Thankyou Di."

What do you make of that guys?

I'm over it, I just want to hear that referees whistle start the next test, Saturday? I think. Let them do their talking on the field. The way things are with a couple of these fellows, we might do better to replace them with a couple of those women 7 a side players, Bob

Bring on the next game!!!!! Some of the skills the ladies have is amazing. Call me bias but i think Lang park is the best venue in Australia for all Rugby league or Union matches. I know the Wallabies are in a bit of turmoil at the moment with this bull**** going on. How much do you think its disrupted the preparation? Teams can sometimes find a positive out of these sorts of things and put on a bloody good game. But personally i think the All Blacks will win,we very rarely loose two in a row.

The Wallabies are a team divided. When the Captain goes to bat for a player in Beales situation, before the tribunal decision, before all facts are known, shows bad judgement. The same type of bad judgement he shows on the field. I will not add more than that, except to suggest, read the Courier Mail, Page 07, Monday, October 13. Says it all, really. I'll quote Beale, " I just do stupid things for no reason ". Just the type of mature player you want playing for your country. [ BTW, you were on the money with your previous post]

I don't think the Wallabies would beat the Redcliffe Old Boys the turmoil they are in. Bob

So let me get this right ... Robbie Deans as the Wallabies coach won 58% of his matches and was sacked.

Ewen McKenzie as coach has won just 52% of his matches.

I reckon they should bring back King Robbie! ...

    ...
    Cheers,

I noticed Adam Ashley Cooper did the press conference on the news tonight and was adamant that Beale had done nothing wrong, and that the WHOLE team supports him. I didn't buy any of it for a second. This close to the world cup,not a good look for the Wallabies.

The pressure from the NSWRU clique is on. The same clique that white anted Deans. My tip is, the pressure won't be off until M. Cheika is Wallabies coach. This is a watershed for Australian Rugby. I can guarantee you, the whole team does not support Beale. Have you heard a non NSW player state support? What happens next, may determine the future of rugby in Australia. Let me say this. Some indigenous friends have told me any thought of letting their children play Union, is out the window, over Beales behaviour. Teams like the Broncos & Cowboys, with their indigenous programs, are far more attractive.

One group of powerbrokers, with one fool as the patsy, have set Australian rugby back to the bad old days. I hope McKenzie & the ARU stand firm. Bob

Robbie Deans was a good Super Rugby Coach. Actually I take that back. Robbie Deans was fortunate enough to coach the most dominant provincial rugby team in the most dominant rugby nation in the world. With the playing staff that he had at his disposal I reckon I could have waltzed into Christchurch and won a few super rugby titles as coach.

    Regards,

    Danial.

Ooops, forgot to add in the whole point of this reply. Robbie Deans was a terrible international rugby coach.

Very big call that one,They were not superstars when he got there far from it. He developed them into the team they became. To think he just walked in there and it was easy is just so far from the truth. At that stage Auckland and Wellington were the dominate teams not Canterbury. He took super rugby to a level that no other coach did.
