I wonder if there is a name for a phobia about chooks, because one of our roosters is definitely giving me the evil eye. Trivia and other useless but interesting items

    That's funny.
I think the rooster is nervous because we think one of our two young roosters has to go soon. I'm leaving that choice to the wife and daughter.

Running short on tucker? Going to roast it or stew it, or something more elaborate?

One too many roosters in the hen house.
The last batch of fertilised eggs the daughter bought turned out to have five roosters and three hens.
Roosters are a bit surplus to requirements - its a tough life for roosters - and just turn the backyard into a chook-fighting arena.
The previous time this happened the surplus roosters proved to be delicious. Trivia and other useless but interesting items
This time we have already given away three good-looking young Wyandote roosters from the last batch to people on the Sunny Coast who seem happy with them.
One of the 2 remaining might soon be next to go. Fortunately for them, they don't crow much or they might have already gone to a better place.
There seems to be a thriving chook-swapping scene happening up here that the daughter has tapped into.
Sneaky meetings are arranged in quiet village car parks where cardboard boxes making interesting noises are hurriedly exchanged.
