SubscriberIts interesting given the vigour with which the Victorian government is handing out fines, that they are not prosecuting people who actually spread the virus.

Opening the ACT before getting NSW under control could be a wrong move, if you look at the situation in Europe.
WHO warns of ‘alarming’ coronavirus second peak in Europe
WHO: Rising case numbers should serve as a wake-up call
Coronavirus is surging at an “alarming” rate in Europe, creating a “very serious situation on the continent”, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned.
Cases are spiking at record highs in several nations such as France as Europe surpassed infections from the first peak of the pandemic in March.
As the second wave takes hold, the WHO’s European director Dr Hans Kluge has warned of “alarming rates of transmission”, with many European governments now considering more lockdowns.
France registered a record 10,593 new confirmed coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours in the country’s highest single-day count since the pandemic began.
The UK government has imposed tougher restrictions on people and businesses in parts of northeastern England amid efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19 before the colder winter months.
Fears about rising infection rates among younger people across the UK has prompted public health warnings. Photo: GettyDr Kluge said in the last two weeks, more than half of European countries recorded an increase of cases of more than 10 per cent and in seven of them even doubled.
“Weekly cases have now exceeded those reported when the pandemic first peaked in Europe in March,” Dr Kluge said.
“Last week, the region’s weekly tally exceeded 300,000 patients.”
“Although these numbers reflect more comprehensive testing, it also shows alarming rates of transmission across the region.”
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food
A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking
One could ask why those behind the Ruby Princess have not been prosecuted, but I think an answer to your good question could be that by prosecuting, it could stop people coming forward and talking to contact tracing teams, Or as the VIC Premier said " Mr Andrews also said infected people who admitted during contact tracing interviews to breaking COVID-19 rules would not be fined.“Giving contact tracers the correct information in a timely manner is worth more than $1200 to every Victorian,” he said."

And if she did the smarties here would say she was not taking responsibility for her actions. The buck stops with her, She knows that. The Queensland people will decide at the election if they agree with her handling of the COVID crisis in Qld. , not some random haters on the internet. And that is how democracy works.

So do you think that airlines should operate as loss-making enterprises or as charities?
If they can only carry half as many people, and all other costs are fixed, then it's not rocket science that fares will rise.
Edit: turns out Emirates is flying as few as 30 people per flight, so 10% capacity.
