Solidarity in Germany. Humans are basically caring beings, all around the World. Crazy it takes a crisis to show it. A shining light on darkening day.

I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Heather looked into the local butchers window today, a leg of lamb over $50, BBQ lamb chops $20 a kilo!
It's time to get the rabbit traps out or run over some deer.

We tried to get some alcohol wipes as I need them for valve changes and skin swabs. Nah, no stock any where.
I rang Jaycar, they only had some spray Iso left.

Now they say that gangs of black market dealers are the ones stripping all stock of stuff to resell. mini buses going out into country towns buying up , police in all states are on the hunt for them. Seems Chinese caused this and now Australian chinese are profiteering on others miseries, It's disgusting

I wonder if I'll have to start 'Sentry Duty' at our front gate?

With the advent of Internet came the demise of Common Sense.

Now, where's my old .308 Saddle Carbine?

So looks like our trip to Tassy is off, after todays announcement.
Good to see they are refunding ferry fares in full.
But i feel sorry for all the businesses that rely on tourists.

Out to the property doing some shooting for a few weeks looks like the go
Nice and relaxing,no phone to carry around,no TV,bit of work to do,but thats fine.

    Self isolation at its best

This will certainly give JLR a good test.
Their two biggest markets,USA and China, are both in trouble,in fact the US is accepting nothing from Europe or the UK.China new car sales have dropped by over 90%.

They are not the only vehicle manufacturer that will be in trouble, but the smaller ones are at more risk.

I notice in Aus,company plant and equipment 100% right offs have been upped to $150K,until 30 th June.
Last time this happened, around 2008,all of a sudden new car prices increased, particularly commercial vehicles.
No doubt that will happen again.

Some folk of, um, "international origin" were recently featured on a TV current affairs program, car-park selling late at night, surgical style disposable masks... for $8.00 EACH. Vendors allegedly had something like 10,000 of them.

I tried - from different evilbay vendors - to buy some of those "2.5" washable masks with the charcoal / 3 layer replaceable inserts. One seller backed out due to a "National ban" on exporting, the other alleges "damage unavailable". Yes, both refunded the money. But why advertise if they knew they did'nt have suitable stock or Govt. permission ? I can only draw a long bow and suggest a spirit of greed... or using my $$$s for a week on the shrt-term money market.

Then there's women's on-line clothing supplier, offering $316 saving on a .... Fridge. - and gives a great use for this supplementary appliance. !
