Fancy Ron asking us about Coms. I nearly over backwards. Next he'll be asking us for advice on spelling and gramma.
    Cheers, Billy.

He'll be here in a moment, but just for the record it is "grammar" - as I suspect you well know.

Yes and now he'll be pinging you for doing his job, instead of me for my spelling.
    Cheers, Billy.

Not at all, John has been deputised.

Pedro, was the misspelling of "telescopes" and non-capitalisation of "NASA" deliberate to suck me in? Elisabeth used to work for NASA.

Some time back I bought a 3 room dome tent. I set it up in the backyard last week to get some practice before going camping. That night we had a ripper of a storm come through and the tent held up quite well. The fly billowed a lot but stayed in place.

    However....

When I checked during the storm (after the wind died off and it was only raining) there was quite a lot of water inside. (I measured it later when emptying it out - there was over 10 litres of water.)

Rainwater was seeping through the fly and dripping onto the flyscreen mesh panels and into the tent. When I checked the sides of the tent, they leaked, too. I don't know what sort of nylon they used to make the tent but it isn't waterproof.

I think I'll put it in the bin.

Would aerosol waterproofing fix it, Ron?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Dunno. It might be worth trying Selleys Watershield - it's about $17 per 200g can. I'm not sure what coverage one would get. The Selleys site doesn't say.

    Don't risk it....
With your luck, you'll pick the ONE can that's had it's propellant leak out... and despite product sloshing around inside, it won't spray..
