Are you Disco Michalea & needing to buy another pair of shoes?
I'm already a size 12.
It's been a while...
Today I needed to change the blade on my bandsaw - I needed a narrow blade with a fine pitch to cut printed circuit boards (actually Veroboard).
I grabbed one of the blades I bought last year but hadn't used and went to put it on. Hmm, odd, when fitted so that the part of the blade that runs against the ball bearing guides was so fitted, the blade teeth were facing the wrong way. That is, to cut, the blade would have had to have been running up from the table, not down into it.
Yep, you guessed it, the blades were manufactured the wrong way round or they not really for my saw as advertised. The trouble is, I don't recall where I bought them so I can't return them.
What was really annoying was the when I refitted the "old" blade (not really old at all), it wouldn't stay on, it kept running off. There is no blade tracking adjustment on the saw. It had been running perfectly just prior to removal.
Gaaahhh!

I suppose I could mention the NBN experience...
Last September, I took up a contract with an ISP to use the NBN. It had a n expiry of 28 days if not implemented. The ISP sent me the modem (which I still have).
The NBN came to connect me to the FTTC. I did expect issues as we've been on Optus broadband cable for 20+ years so our "landline" was on the Optus HFC network, not on the copper to the street.
I was right, the copper to the street was open circuit. The NBN man tried the second pair in the cable (there are 4 wires - 2 pairs) but they were open circuit, too.
No problem, NBN arranged for a team to come to fix it. They came but couldn't do it because of the rain. They returned a week later and dug up the yard and installed a new conduit and cable from the house to the pit in the footpath.
They said "This will trigger an automatic booking to get the tech back to connect you." Right...
A couple of weeks later, we went to the ISP to see if they could chase it up only to be told we were past the 28 days so our contract was in the process of being cancelled. "Can we stop it?" "No, but we'll see what we can do."
That was three weeks ago. We still haven't progressed and they haven't contacted ups even thought they promised they would - and Optus have told us that the HFC (broadband) network will be shut down on the 18th Oct.
