Note that the cable fix still will not work if the latch doesn't open, it only works for a broken cable.
No warning and none of the tricks worked. Only resolved through physical manipulation of the mechanism once I got through the inner skin. Thanks for the suggestions nonetheless.

What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Step #1 of installing the new Tuff ROK mudflats…literally step 1, and I put the plastic ‘almost damn near impossible to remove’ plug in the wrong hole and spend 10 minutes trying (with success I might add) to remove it

Weekend at a BnB in Lower Hermitage.
Some of the worst weather for the drive and the Renegade RT+ have proven to be a great wet weather, highway and fire track tyre - never looking to let me down on grip.

Driving back from Arkaroola yesterday, rear tyres at 30 psi with the camper on the back. Turned a corner and the TPMS went spastic, fast leak rear drivers tyre. Jacked it up, loosened the wheel nuts and then discovered (after remove the spare and pumping it up) that the TPMS sender was loose! Changed the tyre just in case. Will look at the tyre another day.

That’s a bit light on for pressure in your rig John!

    My rears are at 42psi

I'm reminded of when refuelling my loaded D4 (no trailer) at Mt Dare before heading north to Old Andado when the attendant, looking at my bagging LT245/70R17 rear Duratracs commented that it was nice to see low tyre pressures. He changed his mind though when I told him they were at 32 psi.

I drop to low 30s off bitumen (eg fast dirt), never drop below 40 on road though.

Actually that was a typo I had 35 in rears with the trailer on the dirt. 28 without the trailer on the dirt

Got home and saw dark spots on my garage floor.....now I know I don't have any engine oil leaks. Looked like diesel engine oil, didn't smell like it though. Not the same consistency either. Looked more like soy sauce to be honest.

Quick check underneath revealed drivers side LCA rear bush has ruptured. Complete arms replaced at 120000km, so they last about 100000km. Will try replacing just the bushes with the Mehle non-hydro units. Should be able to sort a press or similar tools.

    Will do both sides.
