Dropped the Disco off at Justin Coopers for a service and to check a fault causing the car to go into restricted performance, Justin thinks it maybe a fuel delivery problem.
    Cheers Baz.

Active engine mounts replaced today, took them a bit over 3 hours. Front diff has to come out to get acces, glad I didn’t try this in my garage. Vibration is much much less. They hold vaccuum now. Saw the old ones, they were hard and packed full of dirt too. Pretty happy with the result. All up cost $865 including the cost of the LR mounts I supplied ($350 inc freight).

New lower control arms are the next challenge, both front lower arms will be replaced with the Meyle HD versions in the near future.

    Progress on the Discovery

Today and yesterday I achieved the following, however not without some duplication of effort.

Fabrication in stainless 2mm sheet a bracket to install my UHF Aerial and brackets to install Narva 12pin Trailer Socket and Anderson Socket.

Removed both European Round Plugs and fitted the Narva and Anderson Sockets with associated wiring connected into the existing looms. The Narva Socket is the model containing a reed switch operated by opening the socket flap.

Installed wiring from the Narva and relay that will be used to power a Linear Electronics LED Trailer Adaptor Module when the Narva Socket Flap is open.

Installed the Reversing Camera Connector and routed the coaxial up to the existing LR Reversing Camera Connection behind the Interior Light Panel.

Assembled a switching relay to facilitate selection of the two camera outputs to the head unit.

Mounted Fire Extinguisher in rear boot area.

Struggling with an ideal location for my UHF Radio, looks like the only option is on the drivers side of the centre console. Getting the aerial coaxial to this location from where I have the aerial mounted is straining the brain as I cant find a route from the exterior of the A Pillar into the cab, I will have to again remove the trim and see if I can "Snake" it through.

Parts ordered to replace all filters including the transmission pan. I have gone with Penrite Oils for the transmission and the engine, there products have served me well in the past.

Ordered a Redarc Towpro Plus Electric Brake Controller which will enable the brains section to be mounted remotely. Wiring for this unit still to be routed from front to rear of vehicle.

Can anyone assist as to where the "Blue Wire" from the Trailer Light Harness terminates in the front of the LR?

Wiring methods used have been a product of the excellent advice available on this forum and advice from Linear Electronics , thanks.

Feed the antenna cable thru the firewall grommet and into the cabin.

Did you use an eBay switch box or did you make your own switching relay?

It doesn’t, have a read of this if you have a D4 D4 Electric Trailer Brake Wiring

or this with a D3 D3 Electric Trailer brake wired-photo

Don’t forget the diode regardless of if you have a D3 or D4.

The generic Tow Pro Elite package now includes a wired in diode. Very neatly done. I fitted one a few weeks ago. As a matter of interest, I didn't run the main power wire directly from the battery to the Tow Pro. The D4 is engineered to have all power passed through one of the two junction boxes and distributed from there. I only have the winch powered directly from the (main) battery. I powered the Tow Pro from an unused 30Amp permanently powered blank fuse in the in-cabin junction box. It powers the passenger electric seats in some models. F45. I don't anticipate having any problems and everything has worked to specs so far (but I've only towed the van once for an hour or so).
