What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Well the engine bay wiring is now complete. Getting 3 coaxial cables and a 60a power feed through was fun.

I then reworked the original Traxide loom in the other side and started on cabling the CellFi and secondary UHF.

I may hold out a few weeks on interior work until the stereo loom arrives.

I did manage to get everything powering up lighting wise - so went for a night highway run to fire up the Stedi roof bar and the new FYRLYTs (more powerful than Nemesis).

Haven’t giggled in a long time - just silly how much light the front end throws now.

40.5” Curved Light Bar with Markers
    Factory HID
    Stedi LED in-fill lights
    FYRLYT Test Units

Just plain silly What happened to your D3/D4 today? What happened to your D3/D4 today?

My Brother has a Stedi light bar. I think it's called 'The Sun', it lives up to the name....

I have the 40” Stedi curved bar. It’s silly though I don’t like the level of sign reflection. Not the fault of the lights other than how good they are

    For comparison

The 40.5” bar claims 16,000 lumens - likely theoretical maximum, I’ll test at a later date.
And a beam width of 90mtr at 250mtrs

My FYRLYT pair does a combined 24,000 real lumens What happened to your D3/D4 today?

Now there's a series of night photos I think would be worth taking when you are properly up and running, some nice straight roads around your neck of the woods, would love to see the FYRLYT's in action.

Spent the weekend in the Pyrenees in Central Vic, amazing how much easier it was to drive the tracks than last time in my old 80 series. Just let the terrain response do the work, interesting to watch on the info screen the diff locking up and T/C on the wheels turning red.

Only downfalls were a gouged sidewall on one of the tyres, I think I deflated too much at 26psi with all the rocks and the delicate condition from sampling the local wineries products around the campfire..

    Cheers Jonathan

    Finished!!!!
Power module all connected and powered (led status lights visible in first shot)

Tidied the wiring up and reassembled the panels.. you’d never know it was all in there.
