@loanrangie at least you got your money's worth!! Probably asked a 1000 times and have looked at various service schedules but is the correct interval to replace the fuel filter?

I tend to do mine about every 4 oil change services, whether that is good practice or not who knows??

D4 lists it as 24 months or 54,000km.

would be same for the 2.7 I would think and looks like every 4 changes is about right for me as I do the service every 6 months or so.

Same here, that filter would have done at least 110k over 8 years and never had any fuel related issues.

Here’s the original LR (Lemforder) Front LCA rear facing bush vs the Meyle HD.

When you destroy the bush to remove it you can see it has an internal chassis with an outside shell. The internal chassis has structure running full depth indicating it should be pressed on those gaps in the flange.

The depth of the original is 62mm

The depth of the LCA tube is 57mm.

The Meyle HD bush is 65mm depth which explains the visual installation difference.

The key measurement seems to be approx 4-5mm between the flange and the LCA. The Meyle will protrude 4mm at the bottom.

The Meyle is a single piece outer shell and should be easier to press in since the flange is continuous.

Like the Lemforder the Meyle must be installed in the correct vertical position to the LCA.

There's a reason why the foam is there, and its not only to restrain the jack (DS) and tow tongue (PS), also kerps the road noise down and stops dust getting into the load space.
I did a quick 600KM round trip today and can honestly say I noticed no noise difference. I noticed a noise difference between my old Continental UC6 tyres and the new Pirelli Scorpion ATR, but I'll live with that. Surely the amount of insulation in that space combined with the insulated cubby door would be enough. I can't see how the foam prevents dust though. It sits over the top of the 3 holes for the rear A/C I don't have, but they are plugged anyway. All external penetrations on both sides have bungs in them.

I never carry the towbar in the car, so that's not a concern either. It goes on at home, off at destination and the reverse on the way back. On the rare occasion I'm borrowing a trailer, I still put the bar on before I leave home. So I don't need to tie it down. In addition, I very very rarely use the UK swan neck bar and it's the only one that fits in the carrier.

Point noted on stuff in those cubbies now I've removed the foam. I'll make up some way to secure them to prevent damage from the inside.

Well that wasn’t fun getting out with the rear air con extra rooftop gubbins getting in the way.

Is that dirt and dust on the inside of the roof lining? Or insulation foam remnants? I would have expected a 'cleaner' look to that surface, given its basically sealed off....

That’s the foam that is under the fabric that has to be cleaned off and it’s all sticky and gluey
