    Back into the project again.

We use a product called POR15 rust preventative a lot. This is extremely resistant to rust. A second POR15 product we have used in the past is a fuel tank liner. This actually puts an epoxy lining on the entire inside of the fuel tank. Any small holes disappear.
    ]

The tray is nearing completion - needs soft sides and a top next. We coated the top side with POR15 rust preventative, prior to final painting.

Fitted the home made drivers sill fuel tank into position and made / installed holding brackets, air breathers, fuel fillers and fuel outlet.

Undercoat fuel tank with POR15 rust preventative.
    Work on roof rack
    Hifill tray sides
    Etch prime wheels

Make, test fit and etch prime checkerplate guard tops

    Day 36

Completed welding brackets onto the bullbar for lights, aerial, fairlead roller holes etc etc
Also a lot of final colour painting:

    tray sides
    tray removable frame
mirrors and brackets (again for the 3rd time)
    inside of wheels
    guard tops

    POR15 rust preventative on :

    bull bar

    front portion of roof rack

Also had a friend come over to measure up for making of the soft sides of tray back.

Must be getting close to finished, looks good.

Been meaning to ask what width and make rims are they?

Don't forget when its all ready to leave take some pictures of it all nice and shiny and then take some when you arrive at Gapuwiyak.

Found on page 6 of the thread:
"A set of 5 wheels 16 x 8 thanks to a stall at the event on Sunday - at $45 each quite a good deal we thought. These will have to be altered - centers moved or flipped to improve the turning circle. The one on the roof will be an alloy wheel."

Make of rims seems to be on the box and as it's Friday night I'm too lazy to quote it so it shows here!
