Great work!!
I've been following the thread with interest.
Could you do me a favour & post a pic of how you fabricate the hold down clamps for the roof rack, or is it a bought one cut down?
Thanks, David
So clean and white... it won't last
What are the tail lights actually like? Are they standard 110 style ones?

STANDARD? on this landrover? you dont know me very well.
Slim line LED ones.
Also you can see in this pic, i chopped an inch or 2 from the height of the legs, it now sits anout 30mm off the roofline (enough to not touch it when you stand on it)
Deejay, i had some stainless TJM clamps laying round, and its one of the only things i havent had to make.

Where is the reversing camera?... it would be a handy addition in a truck that size...
Then again, where this truck is going reverse parking probably isn't much of a problem
ok then, how about a forward looking camera mounted in line with the front diff pumpkin? ...Then you'll have the problem of red dust making it useless within a few Km.
I'll just shutup now - looks great the way it is![]()

Couldn't make out the LED stripes in the earlier pic's. Led is definitely the way to go on the rear
So what are the bulbs hanging down at the back![]()

You are right. The bottom pics are of Sharon in her current Defender, during a drive from Gapuwiyak to Gove and back to do a big shopping run, during the wet.
Having said that, it doesn't matter what colour you chose, if the car isn't washed regularly you will get dirty everytime you get into it, so the car wash is just a regular chore.

That's not that bad Erich, the number plate is till readable. But I know what you mean all to well.
Trouble with white is that the iron in the dirt stains the paint and becomes more noticeable in white as it will eventually go a pinkish colour.
Can't wait for the pic's of what it looks like when you and Andrew arrive in Gapuwiyak!

The 130 was a white car when we bought it and to repaint a different colour would have been a pretty big job as I wouldn't want to do it without repainting the firewall in the engine bay etc. and the inside of the car.
We have used a high quality 2-pack paint with 3 layers of 2 pack clear, so hopefully it won't stain as quickly as standard paint.
Just not enough time to contemplate a colour change.
Erich
The lights are the same as the hellas but coppies from a truckshop (dont buy the ones like tis on ebay though the seller is a tosser).
Paul the reversing camera is in the mail.
