Thanks Mick.
Just wondering the Bulkhead to out rigger bolt size ????
Will put Nyloc's on the end. 1/2 inch UNF, but how long ???? High Tensile ????
Thanks.
whitehillbilly
This is how long and yes tensile...
This came off my s3 diesel donor couple days ago...
Hope it helps
Cheers Rod
Sorry Rod,
Forgot to thank you for the bulkhead bolts pics.
Fitting swivels.
This bracket, RH side, to stop jack hitting the ball, if it slips, doesn't seem to do anything fitted this round.
My other 75 SWB S3, has the bracket fitted the same way round.
I have fitted it on the bolt head sided facing the ball, as per the parts image.
Which way round is the correct fitment ????
Thanks......

1/4 way to rolling chassis.

Shane, as in your middle pic, but turned 180 degrees so it's facing outwards and fitted on the other side of the
flange.
It's purpose is to stop the jack damaging the chrome ball if it slips off the diff flange, as there is not much room
for the jack on that side of the diff housing.
Cheers, Mick.

As no oil was it the front swivels, of Gilbert and the 75, I removed the outer flange, to find oil dribbling out, of the RH side.
It this normal, as still learning, I am thinking the front wheel bearings run in oil. I greased inner and outer on both sides, but after rereading the manual, it says half fill the hub, not pack bearings. The housing on that side may have been a bit full.
Also Jman has the 75 apart. He discovered bearings top and bottom of swiviel, on one side. Bush and bearing on the other. After market mod ???? or any other ideas.
I am putting the front axle together, whilst outside he pulls another apart.
Look at the 75's stub axle and axle, cant see anything that seals and stops the oil. Or have I missed something.
Thanks

Fitted bracket and gators.
Hole at bottom. Is this normal ? for those who have them fitted.
At least moisture can get out.
