Unclip and disconnected the return fuel line hose after the common rail.

Air bubbles will come out from the disconnected return fuel line hose. Once all air is out, clip the hose back.
Done easy safe and simple. Engine starts straight away

The only thing is you need a mate. one to blow the air in the tank the other to watch the bubbles come out of the fuel hose.
    Ahh, its an Isuzu 4bd1!

So...pumping the plunger on the injector pump didn't work? Mine leaked a lot when I was pumping it, but once screwed back down no more leaks. Still did the job despite the leaks too.

Not holding prime. Haven't fiddled with it much yet though, hopefully one night this week, once I can get the old primer off

Frenzy, I'm not sure about the EGR on a Puma, I'm doing it on a Td5.
Today I attacked my fuel cooler, need to replace the O rings.

Was going to remove the inlet manifold but decided I couldn't be bothered

    Wonder why it was leaking

    Oops...

    Cheers

I got a replacement spare wheel winch in the mail today for the D3 - thanks to a gumtree seller in ViC.

Looks the goods, will install either later tonight or Friday - been told its in perfect working condition whilst the one I had has been hacked by a tyre shop 3yrs ago.

I'll make sure every shop where I ever go for tyre fitting will be told if they break it - they buy it!

Came home to Ashcroft CV's and half axles on my front step. I'll admire them for a few weeks until i fit them. Work a treat as book ends. The wife didn't ask, just grunted.

I tried to explain that it was cheaper than buying a newer defender and doing the same again. She wasn't picking up what i was putting down.

Well i visited a well known 4x4 accessories shop and struck a deal on a very expensive twin air compressor and tyre deflator
