So with the clutch for the isuzu/landy combo, is it a landrover pressure plate and isuzu friction plate? (to suit gearbox input shaft)

With a landrover flywheel and an Isuzu 275mm friction plate (to suite input shaft) you can use either the landrover or isuzu 275mm pressure plate (they both bolt up to the landrover flywheel)

    That manifold suggests it's a 4BE1.

It does. But the email I got back from the seller confirmed that its a 4BD1. I bidded on this but wasn't the highest bidder.

As I have said before, I have the same manifold, it definitely came from a 4BD1.

Btw - my manifold should morph into a laminova IC very soon.

That's interesting. Over here the NA 4BD1 stopped appearing in trucks around 1986 when the turbo 4BD1T came in.
We then had the 3 ton NPR57 with the 4BC2 and the 4 ton NPR59 with the 4BD1T.
Later on the 4BE1 replaced the 4BC2. Externally these had two large grilles across the bumper instead of 7 individual pockets. Like this one:

Not sure when they stopped the NA's here, but they were still going in the '90s

How far are you of finishing, fitting and most importantly testing this laminova IC? I might go this way with mine if it's any good
