BTW, if I do get a 50mm lift, I'll need ABS cable extensions? Is this just splice in an extra 50mm of 2 core cable? I bought the 50mm longer brake lines when I change those last year.

Now to work out what type of lift to get, with an ARB steel front bar and winch and a Terra Firma rear steel bar.

I am Sgt Shultz, I know nothing.

I'll have to look what spring rate and shock rate means! The car has LR shocks on the rear and red ones in the front.
I am looking at a lift, to fit taller tyres to avoid getting stuck so often. I got fed up with winching out. I could avoid those track, but then, where's the fun in that?

Spring rate, I think non linear for the rears.
There are a few 2 inch lift kits out there, but whether they are any good, or suitable, who knows.

I think of getting air springs, manual operated and a 2 inch spacer.

LRA in Thomastown, Victoria, did mine, and at their suggestion I packed my D2 as I would if I would be going away camping and delivered the loaded D2 to them and they “set it up” with the relevent spring rate to work with 2inch extended shocks that gave the desired vehicle stance and correct rake. I have since installed firestone airbags inside the rear springs.

Need to be careful with LRA. Andrew likes to extend the wheelbase and fit an LS, which would be tempting.....

    Still, could be worse:

Need to check if they actually did it. Easily overlooked.

Be nice though, wouldn't it Ian? You could change your name to LSIan.
