Enlisted the BIL to help figure out why the charger in the camper trailer fridge box wasn't receiving power from the vehicle through the trailer plug, as I'm a bit klutzy on electrics. We spent an hour fiddling and tracing the power back from the trailer plug and discovered a wire disconnected under the dash which had cut the power to that pin on the trailer plug. Also found a fuse had a bad contact in the trailer fridge box. Bit embarrassed to admit we also found the battery in the trailer needed a top up. I had checked the indicator recently, but obviously misread it. All good now.
And very happy to say my fiddling with tyres with various wear patterns has finally almost eliminated the steering vibration at 100 km/h. Drove from Lismore to Maleny today and it was all good.
So that's another problem sorted before we head for the Simpson in September. Still got a list to work through though.
And have to find a solution to get The Navigator sleeping comfortably, since she has to leave her beloved camper trailer at home and swag it. Think a comfy stretcher bed might be the go.
