Finally fitted the X-trousers that TimNZ organised last year. They had got hidden after we came back from the trip last year.
Rearranged the roof bars to better fit the tarp, fixed up the shovel holders.

Fitted an Ashcroft ATB to the front diff. Fairly straight forward and a noticeable improvement in on-road manners. Steering wants to self centre as well so it's slmost like a normal car!

original seats were fabric, not heated.
got some 2nd hand electric leather seats (more comfy)
i got puzzled about a wire going into the back of the seat, worked out they also were heated. plugged it in, got some switches, pluggged the switch into the existing wiring. too me 3 weeks to work out you need it sit on the seat to feel the heat. putting your hand on the seat isnt enough.
element --> chair wiring --> console wiring --> switches
what you want to do is check the back of the seat near the base. look for a wire going into the chair. on the passenger chair, its in the right hand side.
this will tell if the heat has the elements in it.
as far as i know, all d2's have the console wiring
if you do have the element/chair wiring, you will need to buy switches and you should be good to go.

here is a vid of installing the switches, they also sell the switch and face plate. much cheaper to get it from a wrecker.

Fitted my new Iron man awning, had it set up , drinking a stubbie sitting underneath it when the missus got home from work. Funny, she must have had a bad day at work....... Anyway, impressed with the awning, gave it a good hosing , no leaks. The LED lights lit up the whole area under the awning, tossing up whether to buy the mossie net option or the room option, next. When the missus calms down, I'll discuss it with herBob

I decided to do "Option B". I was just going to remove the shuttle switches only but one of the bolts snapped. So I had to remove the whole ABS modulator. I then tried to drill out the broken bolt but did not quite get the drill dead centre.
So next thing was a helicoil. I went into town to purchase a kit and all is now fixed. ABS modulator has been refitted. As most of the brake fluid was lost from the master cyl, I decided it would be a good time to to do a complete brake fluid change.
So I removed the master cyl to remove the plastic reservoir, so I could clean it. I gave it a good clean with water. It is now sitting beside my wood heater overnight to make sure every bit of moisture is gone. I will refit tomorrow and bleed system.
