Today... Drove it
Returning from the Adelaide based LR featured Wedding event...
Still love this vehicle...
Vacuumed the Disco...again...
I discovered that my 107 has a bonnet mascot, not the Spirit of Ecstasy, or a leaping Jaguar, but a Bogan on The Bonnet! Anyone else have a bonnet mascot?
I was actually trouble shooting a no start problem when I found him. Turned out to be a no spark issue & eventually traced to the ignition coil, so on with a new one & all is OK.
Well, I fixed a long standing oil leak on my D2... I posted the results today. I hope the photos turn out!I had a probbie with the vacuum pump return hose but all sorted now. Have a look at the thread and see what you think. Its under "D2 TD5 vacuum pump hose leak" or something similar. Its always pleasing when you can figure out a problem with the landy and fix it permanently - with out selling it of course!

Finally put the gearbox back in!
Centre console is still in bits tho.
Finally extended the aircond hoses on Charlie and give him a good tub to clean off the Easter grime.
Finally had time to fit my Long Range Fuel Tank, Rear Wheel Carrier and Mitch Hitch to the D4.
Grabbed 'Fred' hooked up the trailer and headed out into the paddock.
Finally started renovating the fencing that was looking very tatty!
The days job was started around the house, using my Disco pulling a trailer to carry the gear, one fence around the house was removed, over to the boundary fence to replace some steel posts, remove a couple of barbed wires, restrain the rest and then fit some wire netting to keep the native hens out.

Using a old Disco is just the ticket to do the hobby farm thing.
