AlexH and myself dumped the coolant out of 'Laurie' and using the garden hose back flushed the radiator, it took awhile but eventually the water was flowing clear.
Topped up with coolant, 'Laurie' should now be right to leave out in the frosts.
The logo for 'Laurie'.

fixed the fuel cooler leak from the front oring, ***** of a job to replace the landrover clamp but think all ok.then engine oil, filters and driveline grease.

While toiling along at 95 today, heard a bang and metalic clang. Pullled over to discover the second last bolt holding the A/C compressor on had disappeared. The last one had lost its nut, too. I cut the belt and carried on, as you know this is the correct thing to do
new bolts and loctite when I get home

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈
Finally removed and finished off the rear bar/wheel carrier and re fitted after only being on the vehicle for the last 3 years. Also ordered new rear springs after discovering one of them has snapped! Think it must be new as I replaced the lower shock mounts last week and didn't notice it then. Looks like I'll be driving round the wife's old buzz box for the next couple weeks until the new springs arrive
Pulled the 300tdi out to do the clutch, big ends, t-seals and rear-main. Also new clutch master, slave, throw-out fork. Found the thrust bearing had desintegrated and only the outside casing remained which had almost worn though the pressure plate fingers. Got it just in time
Half way through, hopefully get the rest done and the donk back in tomorrow.
So far the Tornado chip is working out well and I'm averaging around 16.5 litres per 100 ks compared with around 19-20 litres before replacement.
Towing the work trailer about is less noticable especially on the hills.
I fitted an adjustable fuel pressure regulator today and set the pressure to 38 psi, so see if that changes anything.
Also noticed a puddle of Diesel forming on the ground at the back of the D2 while warming it up this morning for the wife. The D2 fuel hose rub through...
Temporary fix with some 8mm hose and a couple of clamps got it going again.
There's never a dull day owning a Landy

Replaced the RH door card, after many weeks hidden behind the lounge
- Replace the door-locking motor recently, and giving it ample time to fail. So far it has'nt, so back with the Trim!
Already done the LH rear door with a 2nd hand unit from our local LR wrecker (very good price) and thought I'd try these cheapies... even the mounting holes line up and took the original screws.
Hint: Leave the male bullet connectors on, cut off some of the old wire with its LR connector, and fit 2x female bullets. This makes it just as to easy connect the correct way, as well as wrong way round....
