Yeah, I was always the odd one out, never saw the point in driving through each and every puddle. Always like to sit around with a few beers while they cleaned everything.
1. Yes, he has his eye on our D2 but I am concerned its life will drastically shorten as he just will not do maintenance on his vehicles.
If he ponies up $12k he can have the D2; but he has to show he will maintain it.
2. No, I had to clean mine... But he will be washing all the recovery gear out!
Why they thought driving to a Dam after 50+mm of rain is a good idea just makes me laugh!

Ran new wiring from the second battery through the firewall and down the back to power a fridge and USBs. During this job I remembered a few truths:
1. Having several screws left over after reassembling something is not a cause for rejoicing about economising.
2. Gloveboxes are much harder to reassemble than to pull apart.
3. Its unwise to forget you reversed the battery while getting at the main earth and decide to test your new wiring by whacking the positive lead on the negative terminal, unless you enjoy fireworks. My burnt finger should only take a couple of weeks to heal.
Good news is, after finally getting it sorted, it all works! Woo hoo! One more job ticked off before we head for the Simpson in September.
