Well I got mine back together, just need to fill it tomorrow evening. I'm going to take my old lines into pirtek and get them made so they shouldn't ever fail and if they do they're a lot easier to fix because threading those lines into place is a **** of a job. Will post pics and part numbers
Cheeky 2 day trip to the wheatbelt to look at big and beautiful granite monoliths.
New fuel pump that went in Wednesday night worked great, until it didn't work this morning.
Lots of air and gurgling in the line. Suspected an air leak somewhere. No diesel on the ground.
Pulled everything (including the secured drawers) out of the back, while Lady ScotchRocks very politely kindled and didn't verbalise anything negative.
Tightened up the retaining collar around the pump which was hopefully the problem.
Purged the fuel lines a few times, then crank battery was too dead (on the way out I think) to make the magic happen and needed a kindly neighbour to jump me.
Played the white smoke game post purge and eventually got away. No stops on the way home.
Checked him in the yard after a few hours asleep and started first go, I could feel him grinning at me - see! Nothing wrong!
Wish the fuel pump threw a code on the Nanocom
