suicide is the worst feeling anyone can have or have to deal with .
I lost a freind a few years ago his family where close to mine & i grew up with him & no one seen it coming....
Suicide is the ultimate measure made by people who don't realise how many friends they have.

Theres no amount of money that could make me teach..
I realy think they need to give the power back to the teachers. Bring back the cane or paddle & whats wrong with after school detenchon it never hurt me or the other kids that got it..
My 5th class teacher used to drag you out by the ears then give you the cane we where always good in his class. Had the nuns give me the cane a few times MAN they can be mean..

funny that you say that because when that happened about a week or 2 ago the same happened at my school a 13 or 14 yr old boy burnt a teacher using a lighter and a deodorant can I have been out of the school system for a loonngg time, in my day the teachers had the authority to discipline unruly kids, now this kid that burnt the teacher using a lighter and a can of spray, surely that constitutes assault and is a matter for the police.
Of cause the problem is, nowadays, the police can charge him and put him before the courts only to be cautioned by the Magistrate or made to go to "conferencing" were he has to face the person he attacked and "apologize". Gradually the wheels will turn with public opinion and a person will be forced to face up to the resonsibilities and the consequences of his/her actions and be given a punishment to fit the crime so that they realise that if they misbehave, there will be consequences to pay for those misdeeds!!!

DiscoMick

Some kids are certainly not good advertisements for themselves or their parents. Qld public school principals are to be given the power to expel, which is long overdue, and already exists in non-government schools.

Fortunately, I teach international students who have paid to be here, or their parents or governments have, so they are no problem. Foreign students are quite respectful to teachers, unlike some Aussie kids.

But you can't generalize. There are all kinds everywhere.

We had a visit today from peter & his wife tah tah peter is our deaf friend , They where here for a cuppa & they wanted me to check there car as it was whistling it was just normal engine noise belts & pullies.. but because peter is deaf its hard for him & cause tah tah is philapeeno & its hard to explain things to her sometimes .Plus i yell when i speak to peter its just natural for me to do as my grandmother was as deaf as a post even with hearingaids so we would yell to speak to her..
There are nice people he has 2 kids from his first marriage grown up now his son is high up in education & his daughter married a footballer ex paramater BOOOOOOOOOOOO..
But he & tah tah have a daughter together & she is a real brainiac i meen that in a nice way..
Our other daughter the adopted one has been home here for the last few days she still goes to her real home to sleep this is the one Karen & I nicknamed bangers as she is well built up top. She is a niece kid 18 but has a bad home life & she was the one to get Fred out when she was having trouble with panic attacks so we will always be greatfull to her for that . Bangers is very outgoing & very loud just like Karen , She calls us mum & dad & fights with fred & cody just like a sister & they call her our sister..
Had a visit from some of the girls friends on saturday evening , they all seem to call in just to say gday even if the kids aren't home they come in for a chat.Although there is a couple we would rather not & one of them have been told if he ever shows his face around here he will cope it..
So that was our weekend..

PS Hey Aus did you understand Karen on the phone she talk very fast & gets louder as she goes. I haven't heard any of the phones yet was outside having a smoke...

Dale means 'valley'. To have valleys there has to be hills.
The Yorkshire Dales has both. Great walking country.

One of these pushbikes has disk brakes, but have to get wheels and tyres for it, otherwise bike is complete [not counting lights for night riding]. Other one I rode yesterday after swapping my existing wheels onto it. Was astounded what good stuff was thrown out.

Uh Hm, .... middle aged bloke! :imwithstupid: ... thank you!

:wheelchair:
Kev..

I had a friend George Rollo, who ran in and completed the Sydney to surf at 83 years of age. He used to go skiing with Hazel, a widow who was a bit older than him. One day I was hitch hiking and got a lift with a woman in her seventies who had sailed solo around the world three times and was about to set of for the fourth time around the world. She never made the record books because she would pull into an Island for a couple of weeks during her solo voyages.

So you are only as old as you feel, and I have met people who feel 150 years old.

On the other hand I knew a guy of around 40 years of age who ended up in a nursing home at that age, being found in a gutter at Kings Cross unable to communicate with no ID---wallet presumably stolen.

JohnF
25th May 2010, 10:43 AM
um - yeah - I did the manifold and one wheel.

10kg of black gritty sand all over the place.

What I didn't swallow ended up all over the front driveway.

So I got the leaf blower out (after TAB suggested it about 10 times) and 'shared the love' with my neighbours.

The feral ones.

So they now have what looks like a kiwi beach in their front yard.

So you read the bottom of V8Ian's posts and so shared your sand. You could have swept it up for reuse on the other wheels :D:D:D

I hate hospitals everyone i know thats been in hasn't come out..

Last year I was in hospital 3 times and I came out, and now feel fine. Prior to that I was in hospital in the early 1990's, and 1980's with a suspected Septic Arthritis, but it proved not to be that at all.

Once they knew what it was treatment was simple, though occasionally painful. So most do come out of hospital.

Hope you get well soon Ian.

My homeless friend Leo, has been sleeping in his Magna station wagon, with another homeless man in a Magna parked next to him. Spent most of last week running him around as per earlier posts.

On Friday afternoon scored a 1987 Toyota High-Ace high roof van very nicely fitted out as a camper for him for only $1000--, just out of QLD rego needing two batteries, and a good spare tyre. Previous High-Ace owner is 84 years old and lost his licence, and did not really want to sell his van, but is being cared for.

Okay a Land-rover high roof blood wagon would have been better, and Leo was into Land-rovers. It was Leo who was first going to buy the Isuzu Series 3 that we now own, but Leo decided to take his daughters to NZ instead, so told me that this Isuzu series 3 was for sale, and where I could find it. He spoke to me because I had a RR, and previously he had owned RR and Defenders.

Karen & i call it curb side shopping. We have picked up some good stuff the we realy needed & other stuff that has been so handy..

seriously you could furnish a whole house for nothing in our area, from a clean up day. Back in the early 1980's I moved into a flat with my brother. At that time I tithed my money [gave 10% to help others], and after paying my share of the bond had very little money left.

Dropped into a friends place a distance away, but near the train station as we were, and found out he needed me to drive a 2 ton truck for him to move as he had never gotten a licence. After moving a few loads in that small hired truck he said to me, "get rid of the rest, I do not want it, I am buying all new furniture." I got a lot of real good stuff from him including fridge, washing machine and dryer and a Tasmanian Oak solid kitchen suite, then the next week there was a clean up day. From both combined, him and the clean up day, we had our 3 bedroom flat fully furnished, and rented out the spare room, making each share cheaper.

The good stuff I saw thrown out would have furnished a whole house including a gym, but we have too much already, though I also picked up an exercise Bike, and a corner shelves, etc.

Are the chef and the owner the same? If not, a quiet word to the owner from the mother of the young staff member, not rude but just making the point that this behaviour is unacceptable, might be a good idea. The owner should realise this chef could get him in a LOT of trouble with the authorities, who do not take this stuff lightly.

27th May 2010, 08:52 AM
OK well Micayla does not want to go back she is surposed to work friday night & we don't want to push the matter but in saying that i will give use a little history on it..

When Micayla started school we didn't have a car so we put her in the closest school to us which was a catholic school which was great it was only a small school with about no more that 90 kids in it, Now this was great for her as she had a fairly sheltered life till then as it was when i was realy bad..
So she goes to school normal for some years then her Brother Cody Started , Now he was a real boy from birth into everything & realy outgoing as we had a car by this time so he got to go out more then fred..So he was there at the same school for about 3 years i think.
Then we started having trouble with the school because being so small money talks so alot of the well off kids where getting away with what ever they wanted , so after a huge clash with the head nun we moved the kids to a school just up the road from us as we had moved house so this was good .
The new scholl was a public school with a couple of hundred kids , it was very much a learning curve for both of them. Since fred is older most of the girls in her year had already had boyfriends & beleave it or not some had even started to be sexualy active  HUGE shock for us...
So this goes on & they are learning in school there school work but also getinga life lesson aswell..
Well when fred started year 6 last year of primary in NSW she had been asked out by a boy she turned him down & he just kept trying unknown to us he was very bad & wouldn't leave fred alone but she was dealing with it ..
Well at the end of the year the dance was on & fred said she wanted to go we thought great because she needs to do things with her friends..
So Karen walks her up & says that she will be there to walk her home whenits finished..
Well when Karen gets there to pick her up Fred is no where to be seen & a couple of her friends came running up to Karen & said Fred is in the toilets crying so Karen goes in to see ..
Well it turns out the turd that asked her out was all over her at the dance in her personal space & touching her ,arms butt & stroking her hair.. & just wouldn't leave her alone ..
So Karen brings her home & rocks up at the school next morning to sort it out & the princable is fumed & so are the teachers & they did something about it & made sure this kids never got near her so was good, Then it was xmas hols & off to high school after.
Well this kid turns up at home while Karen & the kids are out shopping & asked me is this where Mrs ********* lives & i say yeah what the **** do you want oh he says i'm dillen i like your daughter & want to go out with her as she is my type quiet & shy , oh yeah i say, then he sees i have heaps of tattoo's & tells me that he wants to get plastered in them by this time i have told him he should run & maybe come back when Karen is home & see her..
Well then he starts turning up all the time . could i have a drink. then next time do you have a bandaid well i didn't allway see him as i was building the rover & was in the garage & had the door closed plus i was still doing my airbrushing on some bikes..
Finaly i tell the turd the ****off dont come back or i am going to hurt you..
Well he never comes back, GREAT..
But the Fred starts highschool & he starts stalking her big time so we off to the school to get it sorted & they did try but this ***** stiill kept goping so we desided to get the police well they went & seen him & nothing changed so we go back to the police & well the lady we seen said no worries i will fix it i will ring his mum & dad & tell them he has to come to the station with them..
So all this happens & it works cause she said to them if he does it again she would charge him..
So it stopped at school & out of school for awhile then he desides to turn up at our place again well that was it for me i grabed me bar & i'm off after him down the road got him hurt him he left with lumps in the back of his duds & a few brusses & some lumps & very very sore.. well that was the end of that. cause i knew he wouldn't go to the police but i also told him if he wants to tell his MUM & DAD go right ahead i have a bar with there name on it to..
NEVER HEARD FROM HIM OR THEM AGAIN..
nearly 2 years this went on..

Then Fred was off on the last few days of school & went shopping with Karen . this was last in year 8 the end of year 8..
Well they do the shopping & have finished & going through the checkout
When this older lady probably in her 50s comes walking out had a bag in one hand & some keys in the other so Fred moves out the way & then all hell breaks out Fred is screaming & crying , the lady grabed her on the boob realy hard & twists it & just keeps walking out , Well the staff at BiLo are awesome they got some of there boys to go out & look for her but she had gone they took Karen & fred out the back to a office , So the police are called But took some time to get there so Karen brought Fred home Then the police turn up at bilo took statements then came up to our house asked fred questions & took her statement then left to go back to bilo to get some more info & a copy of the videos from the cameras , we already had some sssshhhh dont tell anyone i dont think they are surposed to do that..
Then A few days later 2 detectives turn up from a speicial branch that is for kids ..They take a statement & tell us they have court the lady & she is in the James Fletcher hospital ( mental instutute) she has skitsafreania & had gone off her medication & she wouldn't be realesed from hospital for at least 6 months & fred was all good with that & was happy they court her but wasn't going to follow it threw to court as the lady was ill & in the mental hospital..
Just after this happened maybe 6 or 7 months thats when fred started to get panic attacks & couldn't get to school or go out ..
That when Ashley started to be a real friend to fred & helped get her out & about.
Karen & i are so greatfull to her for that. This is the girl we call our other daughter as she is always here (she has a bad home life to ) she calls us mum & dad to..She stayed with fred lastnight . she was one of the girls to have to start working there tonight ,She's not........

The shops down here at Cardiff we Karen & i & the kids are well known As most of the shop owners have watched the kids grow up & they all knew what happened & always asked us & fred if she was alright & now they keep an eye on them while they are down the road as now they go out on there own..
I used to work for some of the shops doing the servises on there personal cars & work cars on the cheap for them & it gace me some extra money.
Plus i did some panal work for some on there cars & painted them all up for them & we have helped fittout some shops if they where doing it on there own we would call in & just give them a hand .We did all the inside of the video shop a few years ago so they gave us free video rentals for a year that was nice..

So its like we say not only have we stuffed our lifes up bigtime we have done just about the same to the kids. Like Karen says great parents hey we are the ones to push her to goto work & then this happen.
Karen is out doing the groceries & she is real upset today keeps thinking she or we are bad parents..
I have been trying to tell her differant to no avail yet...

Fred is 15 turning 16 in august.....

Banjo, my 2 cents worth, I would not send her back there, they are totally unprofessional and forcing Fred to go back against her wishes will do her a lot of mental damage ( my opinion only). Why don't you approach groups like McDonalds for employment, they appear to have a good reputation with the young ones. Also KFC and Burger King employ the young ones on a casual basis!!!:)

Hey Banjo, neither you or Karen are bad parents. You cannot be held responsible for the actions of pedophiles, stalkers or mentally ill people. You have acted in the same way that many good and responsible parents have in the past, and will do in the future. As soon as your offspring are in danger, you rush to protect them. You can't wrap kids in cotton wool, they have to experience and learn about the wicked ways of the world themselves. All you can do is be there to help them when they stumble or come up against problems, you have both fulfilled that obligation well. The fact that Fred came to you with a situation that she had trouble dealing with, proves beyond doubt that you are both exeptionally good parents, as does the fact that your kids know the difference between right and wrong. It seems harsh and unfair that Fred has come up against far more than her share of 'difficult and unusual' situations, but hopefully with your guidance, she can be a stronger person for it.

To both of you, it's not money, brains, fancy education or any of the material things in this world that make people good parents. It is what you two have given your kids, love, trust, a moral education and a safe haven.

Again, I take my hat off to you both, for doing a hard job so well. Your parenting skills are not to be judged by the situation that you kids get into, but by the way you help them get out of those situations.

The only thing you might be blamed for is driving a bulldozer through multiple Chinese market gardens! :o:p

So this little ****ing ***** turned round & said if you do extra work for me i give you more money & then proceeded to ****ing rub reb her on the back she was so freaked & didn't know what to do. Then started asking do you have boyfriend , do you have brother ,What your dad do, what your mum do . HAVE YOU HAD SEX YET with boyfriend . ****ing little *****. Poor fred is so scared now its not funny..
And now Karen don't want me to go down there to say something she said i will see them..

Mention the words "Lawsuit for sexual Harassment in the work place" to the boss, and see if the chef still does that in the future.

JohnF

considering what Fred has been through, I think it is great that she can confide in you both. And it is better that she can discuss such things with you.

did not notice how old that Chef was. If he is older acuse him of being a pedophile chasing young girls.

hey everyone firstly thanks for words of encouragement. As jas has told you all i went down today to this indian take away i told him straight up i'm disgusted with this worker i proceeded to tell him what micayla told us last night to say he was shocked was an understatment. He asked why she not come and tell me i checked on her and asked her if she ok a few times i told him she is quiet and was scared do you really think she was going to tell you what this cook was saying to her when it was her first night working. He was so apologetic and i told him that won't cut it do you really think its fine to let one of Your workers sexually harass Underage girls because i'm sure proper authories would agree with me that this not on.He then asked what can i do to make this better i said sack the ***** he obviously is a waste of space and if i was the boss he'd be gone He did get this employees mobile and i found micaylas number and had it deleted by him while i watched He has asked if i will bring micayla down on the weekend sometime so she can tell him herself what happened i said ok but i will be staying with her so you don't try and pressure her in anyway that maybe she took something the wrong way that was said or try to pressure her to come back because at the moment she not happy to step in your shop again .He was no no that is good i rather you be here and sorry again this happen and i will get to the bottom of this my shop important to my family maybe i have to look for a new cook.

Micayla is ok we think will give her a few days see how she feels my feelings are i don't want to push her to take this further i realise that if he not stopped in his tracks maybe someone else will go through this but after micayla was grabbed at bilo and she had to see the juvenile sexual assault unit questions they have to ask (and apologise for) include do you think you asked for this ,did you enjoy it ,did you want more i don't want her to be questioned like that again it wasn't enjoyable for anyone involved including the police i don't want her to have to go through that again i want to protect her yes its a big UGLY world sometimes and i think she has seen enough for her young age i know i can't protect her from everything if so last night wouldn't have happened

Just seemed to me banjo's thread was a bit hard to find, dont know wether its the half bottle of Glenlivet thats gone down my throat tonight or the fact that it was half way down the page. Any way I thought I would drop it up near the top so the night shift can find it to make it easy for me in the morning, does that make sense. Having trouble seeing the keys on the keyboard, need glasses or less glenlivet.
Jase/Karen, you guys need to write a book about good parenting, not like all the wishy washy stuff they write for new parents but just tell it like it is, bugger me its nearly writen in this thread, sleep tight I know I will

Well you know how fatty used to work at the bread shop well they been asking her to come back ever since she left, she only left cause they where taking advantage of her big time..
Well she's going back after next week but only for 2 or 3 days a week from 5am to 8am..
Thats what it was surposed to be when she first started there but they soon started getting her to work 5 days aweek then 6, then they wanted her to stay till lunch time but wouldn't tell her till that day so everything else that she had to do got put off..Then the owner desided to go on holidays regualy & karen vertly ran the shop so they thought oh well we will go back home for a holiday for a week that terned into 3 weeks & all for bugga all pay..
Now its only going to be no more than 3 days cause Karen put her foot down & said yes to work but only 5 till 8 am 2 or 3 days & thats it..
But i recon it wont take them long to change back to there old ways..

thought I'd reply in here rather than the disk-brake thread. Leg is going pretty well, physio every day for one more week, then down to 2-3 times a week. Have you ever been to a physio where you leave bleeding every day? She is a top-notch rehab expert but also a sadist!

I've been driving the SIIA to work but the bloody clutch is killing me along Military Road in peak hour traffic. I dont have a garage, so if this rain would stop I could get out and have a go at putting the booster on - I may have to harden up and wear a raincoat!

Cheers,

I swear that crapoyta is a woman with PMS..
I went out to start it this morning as its not raining , I knew it would start as i wond the hand throttle on the other day..
So i gets it going & drives it in the back yard & thought i would wind the hand throttle off & just let it idle if it would ..
Well the damn thing did so turned it off checked it out under the bonnet all is ok so started to check the water, oil .& all the fluids..
Well water was ok so just toped it off , Put some brake fluid in it as it was down a little..
Check the oil & when i pulled it out it looked burnt the dipstick so i wipped it off & put it back to check, Pulls it out again to see the level well it was as dry as a something , it didn't even register on the stick..
So i fills it up.& i check the fuel filter for blockage its fine..
So i start it up again & check the choke isworking & its fine ..So i let it warm up .Once upto temp I kick the pedal to stop the choke & what do you know its fine & idling right..
So i have know idea as to why it wouldn't the other day but its fine now & Fatty is out in it ...
But it does need a carby rebuild as it has a flat spot & gives a cough & splutter every now and then so i will get a kit for it & see how it goes...

I haven't heard from sleeps for a while so i mite give him a text today see hows he is going..
JohnF must of fallen off his new bike , we haven't heard from him , By the way JohnF i did hear from Corrine again its good to hear from her..
I enjoy texting everyone that i do as it gives me something to do but i realy enjoy the text chats & i do do it more when i'm out as it takes my mind off other things & slows my heart rate down so i don't panic , Although i realy have to watch where i'm walking as the posts & wheely bins don't move...

Well i have rang a few guys & it helps as i now answer the home phone something i never used to do , So it has built my confidance heaps ..
Anyway i gets a phone call from Drifter early last week , It was all great then he said well i mite take a day off on friday & come up for a visit.
Well i **** & my heart went to my throat & i went all numb in the chest & started to panic & had to get off the phone. I realy have to apolagise for it i feel bad that it happend & i reacted that way cause i have spoken to him heaps & enjoy our chats.......
So what we mite do is if anyone wants to call in let us know & i or karen will email you what we do each week doesn't realy change much & i'm usualy always home & if not i'm less than 5mins away.Cause its best if you just call in without notice or i just panic & cancell. & if its only me home i can call or text fatty to come home cause we have visiters unless she is at work on some fridays..

So whats everyone been upto this week ...

Been crapy round here plus the rain dont help the boredom..

Did you get your firewood Aus ?

What did you get done to the 2a this week drifter ?

We have desided to work towards getting a camper or building one & getting a fridge/freezer as we will be able to go away without the kids in a couple of years ...
