Well i realy have to say something here..
With all my problems i have & what i put the family through has changed to a large degree & its only because of all you guys & gals Mrs HH..

I have lived with cuicidal depression for around 15 ish years & now that is very few & far between which is awesome as its a very big releafe to Karen..

I still get the depression but not as bad as boredom isn't as bad since this thread started . . . .

I haven't had a panic attack for some time now so that in it self is huge for me , i must admit when JohnF was here i had a slite heart flutter murmer which i think i hid well..

Aus calls in regualy & usualy once a week so he has taken over old toms visits which i look forward to every thursday , HHMMM wonder if he knows how to put springs in ...

Was great to meet Mrs Aus today they where here for about half hour & Mrs Aus is realy nice..

Since this thread started i have met 3 people Aus & Mrs Aus & JohnF now in the last 15 to 20 years that is the most people i have ever met outside the people i see regualy which isn't very much.

I am looking forward to meeting more members from here. It takes time for me to meet people & now meeting 3 people in as many months is a huge step forward..

I actualy went out this morning to the paper shop & to Aldi again i wasn't allowed to buy anything i enjoyed walking around aldi next week i will be there early as they have some good tool sales . . . ;).

After taking some measurements the clamp that mine is hitting now shouldn't be to much of a problem with the new ones as its closer to the diff which will put it just between the 2 rods or posably just under the rod between the 2 wheels...

Since when did springs come with out the spring bush fitted ????

when you have driven a Rangie nice springs are heavy duty coils--and easy to replace :D:D:D.

At least on the roads I regularly drive. However we currently drive a series with leaf springs--oh my back:D.

Have not been on for a few days as I bought a very nasty cold home with me, and so spent a few days in bed. Slept real warm every night, so that is not where I got the cold. Remember talking to someone down there, forget who, a man who had a cold, so that I possibly caught this from him. Should have got stuck into garlic, it helps with colds/flu.

No dramas carrying the chainsaw on the train [empty of Petrol] with bar and chain removed. Hope to get down again when weather is warmer.

So hope you are well Banjo and Mrs Banjo, John.

Cold outside but fairly warm out here in the garage. I have the 'outdoor' gas heater running to keep the temp up as I have been sanding and painting one of the 2a panels.

Yeah, Banj, it was good to catch up. Might do it again one day ;)

Be careful. Some years ago I did a lot of snow skiing, and kept reading of people down the snow who died from gas fumes from their gas bottles. An outside heater used inside might be dangerious. I am not an expert, but be careful.

do not worry, your problem with the steering will sort itself out. It is remarkable how things do sort themselves out.

When I visited you I was wondering about purchasing a second-hand zoom lens for the camera. I put off buying one, and today I was given one free of charge. The guy had hocked his D70s camera plus two zooms--the improved version of my D70 camera, and his three months in hock were nearly up and he would have lost it, so I purchased it from cash converters for $304- with two zooms, polerisering filters, etc. [it is worth much more]. I just wanted to try out the zoom lens to see if it was the one that I wanted to buy. He said if I wait a fortnight he will give me the $304--, and I can keep the zoom for saving him from loosing his camera. The Nikon 70-300DX zoom that I am getting is brand new, being purchased just before he hocked the camera. And I nearly purchased a 55-200 VR lens instead, and glad I didn't.

Pray about it and your problem will sort itself out in the same way.

Free internet program. You need speakers and a microphone (or a headset plugged into your computer) and you can 'ring' people and talk to them for free via your computer.

Skype is excellent Banjo. Think free phone calls to everyone who also has Skype. We used it when living overseas to keep in touch and we now use it here. You can get it on your phone too.
Easy to download and then you can search for everyone on your email list and add them to your address book.
Free download too.

Got on the forum today as suspension is vibrating, hence we did not do the running around that we intended to do.

I saw another AULRO thread on Skype--discussing how many Megabites of your net time it uses, which is why I mentioned it to you, Banjo. Do not yet have it, but will download Skype if I have some one to talk to. I have watched others using Skype.

I used to work for a cheap-ass company who insisted we used Skype instead of our mobiles if we were ringing Head Office or one of the other consultants.

I was talking to a mate on it once. I was in Sydney, he was in London. I asked what the clattering noise in the background was. He replied that it was his wife in the next room doing the dishes. It was that clear.

Hey well guess what well we have a little money left over from our tax & center link stuff that Karen & i are intitled to ..So i'm looking for another PROJECT so if anyone knows of something near us please let us know . .

Green Series 3 near you that still needs working on - how's that for a project? :wasntme:

Also one of the young blokes from all 4X4 at kotara has asked if i would do some work to his new series for him i think its mainly welding but i know its not going so i wont be able to help myself & i'll get it going ..
He will bring (float) it here for me to work on . . .
Karen told him that i'm at the mercy of the weather but he's ok with that so alls good . . . .

Nearly August so the weather should be fining up soon.

Hey Aus how much to hire the limo to go to sydney Karen & vickie are going to one of the Bon Jovi concerts & that would save them having to drive down & back ?

You want him to bring them back? :o :wasntme:

Hey dale i was reading where you where from & i thought arnham land was state or national parks owned . . .

Yeah mate Arnhem Land is a reserve that is held in trust for the Aboriginal people.

Nhulunbuy is a mining town built on the mining lease that the government gave the original mining company back in (works it out on calculator) 1969. It is a private town but anyone can come here - you just have to get here!

On Google Maps its only 4118km from you to me.:(

Well i had an interesting night lastnight. Remember i was saying i have been texting an old girlfriend for some time.
Well lastnight while texting she said are you sure we cant talk on the phone yet , Well i ended up saying yeah you can ring but we will keep it short & then i'm going for a shower & bed as it was around 10 ish..
Well i have known her for many years before we dated & i know all her family. Anyway she rings & we get to chatting about the old days when we where young & what we all used to get up to & all about each of our families what we have been upto over the years ...Well i finaly gets in the shower about quarter to 12 . .

It was realy good to catch up on all the goss & i realy enjoyed it.....

We are going to have her over for a cuppa one day to catch up...

Its funny last time Aus was here i was saying to him about the kids , They can't understand how i can chat to an old girlfriend & Karen doesn't want to rip her throat out.. We told them its called GROWING UP something use need to do ......

I'M on a roll i have met a couple of members from here , Spoken to a few members on the phone & even rang Aus once...& now talking to an old friend & going to meet up for a chat & catch up...
What i have achieved from this site over the time of this thread is awesome i haven't done so much in many years & i owe it all to all you guys & girls....

The plans are in The Good Book John.

Actually the Good Book says that there will never be another world wide flood so just need to move to higher ground now days to avoid any local floods.

And yes Ausfree, in the days of Noah, Noah invited everybody onto the Ark and if any Athiests had got on to Noah's Ark they too would have been saved from the flood. Trouble is they did not believe that there would be a flood, so did not take the necessary steps to escape distruction.

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37.

One may have trouble finding a cubit graduated tape measure in Bunnings, John. ;)

Thanks Ian. A cubit was from the finger tip to the elbow, a varable distance of about 18 inches as a minimum--however Noah probably had much longer arms than I do, as I am a bit short. Other cubits were about 22 inches long. I would not like to measure things in cubits today, other than if I was making reproductions of Bible things--I have a small model of the "Raider's of the lost Ark," "Ark of the Covenant," that I purchased very cheep when it was marked down. Other than that, not counting pictures, I do not have Bible Based models. Note that the Ark of the Covernant is not to be mixed up with Noah's ark, but some have gotten mixed up in this.

So the Bible measurement of Noah's Ark was somewhere between 450 feet as a minimum to 600 feet or so long [not counting width and height measurements that the good book does mention].

It is interesting that ships, 600 foot long, have been made to the Bible propotions and these ships were found to be extremely stable in very big seas, John.

Well, I've just caught up after a week of dealing with fuel leaks in the Disco, completing an essay (got 80%) and starting to build a bigger garden shed with the youngest son, as well as normal work.
Good news is our tax return looks like being much healthier than expected so we may be going to England in November-Dec for 4 weeks, to tour around with the son and daughter in law. We were about to give up this idea, but the big tax return has revived it.
So, I'm already studying Landy catalogues to make a list of bits I might buy and get shipped back. Cool.

$65 for them is preety good . .That chainsaw is a good brand & was expensive when my parents brought it...

Its funny 2 days maybe after you left there was another tree fall down in the back yard , I'll have to dig out one of me hand saws bush saw . .
I used that chainsaw the saturday before you got here to chop up the first tree that fell & that was the first time i had used it in about 4 years . .And now the other one is down..It allways happens that way you dont use something for so many years & then all of a sudden a couple of trees fall . . :D:D

I had a real crapy day today cars finished now so ended up doing bugga all .I did print out a series 1 opperating manual & i got to try out our new thermal binding machine , Got it at aldi for $20 out of the cheap bin they had some left so droped the price to get rid of them.. Works well . I used to print out all my manuals & then pay a shop to bind them its around $6 to $10 to get it done now it costs me about $1.50 for each one . . . . .
I colect all the landrover ones & this is a cheap way for me to do it...
I read them like most people read novels . . . . .

I realy need to try & go out on my own instead of always having Karen with me. That way i could go out when Karens not home :mad: , I hate my crapy life & the crapy problem of mine .. It is so bad & debititating not being able to do stuff with out Karen by my side it sux... & its embaracing for me ......& i like driving my car cause its quiet comfortable for a series & it steers great..

Plus my dog had a go at me today something fell off the cloths line so he went & peed all over it so i grabed it & went to give him a hit on the bum with a raised voice & he growled at me & tried to bite me the little **** i wanted to give him a kick in the bum & to the other side of the yard then but he took off . . . .

Then the Advanced Tab

That should tell you where the folder with all your Live Mail info is.

Did you copy that from the old on e to the new?

This is all so strange people (friends,MATES ) wanting to help....

Yeah use are all right we have to sort it out.. Geting away would be good .
Told the kids to pull there heads out or i would give them a smack up the head & give them DOCS number so we could have a break from them as they are driving us insane,....

You would think there grandparents would love to have them for the weekend hey..
Not there's Well Karens cant & mine just told us when cody was young that he would be to much of a handfull so have never asked to have them or offer. My mother did take Micayla once when she was very little & i got real sick got the bug that shut all the hospitals down around here & Karen was up with me all night & Karen asked her to take her so we could get some sleep...

It was an effort for her to take her as she had to miss out on a weekend at there farm to do it.. This was before they moved to the farm & built a house......

So yeah we haven't realy ever had a break from the kids ever my cousin Vickie Karens best friend has taken them maybe twice, But we don't like to ask anyone to take them or just even to babysit for a few hours now as our own parents wont do it . .

Its not much consolation I know but try to focus on the positives. Its too easy to only think about the negatives and infllate them and overlook the positives. I'm sure if you made a list the positives would outweigh the negatives.

Said news but as us Land Rover people know many a bad track has a good stretch hidden by a corner. Sometimes just enough space to allow you to stop in safety and peace, get your head together and continue with the journey and sometimes come out smiling. Hope this is your road Banjo.
Next time someone starts a thread about a squeak that is making their life miserable just direct them to this thread. It will certainly help them put the squeak into perspective.

Hi Jason and Karen, I wish I had a magic wand to sort this out for you. I know all couples go through problems from time to time and those times can be short or really really long. One of the problems with separating is that it can be harder for both people. My wife and daughter have just been away for a week and I've been trying to do my normal jobs and all the stuff the missus usually does and I haven't had a minute to rest. Like DiscoMick says, have a look at the all the good things in your life and compare them to the bad things; hey, even ask the kids what they think are the good and bad things. You'll probably be surprised at how much is good. Good luck to both of you and the kids.
ps - Very bravely, you guys started this thread to talk about your problems and look how many pages you're up to, 323!!!! I haven't seen any other threads with so much input, advice, people sharing their own problems and caring and sharing. Both you, Jason and Karen have become the therapists on this thread. So many people have benefited from your honesty. Hey! I think you guys owe it to us to stay together; where else are we going to go for advice??????

Well hi everyone its not much better still .We atleast aren't yelling at each other..I will give use all some history to this time in our relationship..
Karen & i have never been the type to do the kissy cuddle hold hands thing i like that but Karen has never & i don't mind as we where having sex regualy every 2 day which made up for all that so was good..Now i know how much Karen does for me & i know i can do much more for myself instead of just getting Karen to get it..Which is lazy of me..Well about 4 to 5 weeks ago this all changed big time down to once a week if lucky its also the time fred started to crap on again so we have been streesed from that.. Well we get to this point often as i never keep up with going out because Karen says yeah i'l lget it Now i cant get the things from to far but i can get to Cardiff easy but i always giveup..Well since the sex died i have resented Karen cause we now dont have any closness at all & she would say something & i would grunt & the Karen retalyates so & so forth between the 2 of us..Well i have put Karen through so much strees & **** over 23 years its not funny & this last biggy is my fault as i have just not tryed enough or kept going with it there for Karen has to take up all the slack which is to much. Now in the last 4 weeks Karen & i have spent maybe 40 mins together cause of the kids + ashley is always here when the kids are at school. so there is no our time at all. Well Karen has been getting some tattoos & last night we where talking & she said i have to tell you something & you are going to hate me ( i was very scared) but it had to be said she is having some feelings for her tattooist in the sense that she wants to be with him & they are strong for her . She said he makes her laugh & happy. He is a gentlman in all respects the same as me every thing is the same as me only he doesn't have a problem & could give her more.. She now feels like an idiot but i told her no she isn't & there is noway on this earth i could hate her ever because she has done so much for me.I have said maybe she should confront him about it but she wont as he is married with a sick child . . I realy do not know what to say to her ..I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS SCEARED IN MY INTIRE LIFE EVER i love Karen so much its not funny & now i have caused all this..I have no one to blame but myself for this & it is in noway for me to blame Karen at all...
I tryed to little to late i went out with her today to the tool shop to get a nutsert tool then went over to some shops in a busy area autobarn & the good guys all at warners bay ..I then went to pickup our pamphlets & was actualy talking to the boss guy for nearly an hour then decided to go for a drive ended up going to the top of lake road & down to glendale & back home ..Again to little to late..
I am very sceared so is Karen & i will fight tooth & nail to win her love & trust back..
We had some trouble some time back & nearly broakup then & it nearly killed the kids so we are worried about them aswell. & have just found out fred is having her bad dreams again & drempt that she found me hanging from a rope in the little shed..

Now i realy realy am scared to the point where my chest has gone very numb like a doosy panic attack is about to start regualy..
I have made things worse because i keep telling her i love her so much its not funny & she feels so bad because she has had these feelings for someone else . . . .
Also just ran Karen down the road to get tea bags & cough lollies.. Again to little to late....

I will be making more of an effort to go out & do as much as i posably can to win Karens love back & trust so i am asking use all to give me a hand & a kick up the ass to get moving when needed ..

PS AUS i will be calling at your house one day but i wont be stopping i need a couple of dry runs then i will stop say G'day & probably leave straight away , So could you explain to Mrs Aus what is happening so she dont think i am to sico or something for when it does happen..

I realy enjoyed myself today & loved to see Karen smile while up talking to her boss....

I pretty much stick to cardiff but i will get to glendale again as i used to do that quiet a bit & would stop there for quiet awhile to so i need to do this bigtime & keep it up..
I do know i will have bad days but i will just have to suck it up...

Karen has worried about & stressed over me for 23 years & it is very hard for her not to do this when we are out.
Which she needs to now ....
I have also asked her to talk to someone Vickie who is her best friend & my cousin I also told her to go over there for a night or 2 ...but she would just worry about us all back here...

I think she realy needs to talk to some one ..

And if we can work it out i would like her to go over to vickies for a night once a month to chill watch dvd's or just get drunk by herself & to now worry about us here as we will be ok.....

2nd August 2010, 06:50 PM

Can I suggest a positive course of action, to get you away from thinking negatively.

Sit down with an A4 page. Write, "Reasons why I love my partner and family" across the top. Divide the page into two columns. Write your name at the top of the left hand column.
Sit down and spend as long as it takes listing every possible positive reason why you love them. Put in everything, no matter how small. Turn the page over and keep writing until you've finished.

Now, ask Karen for a date. Make a time when you both have at least 2 hours of completely free time, with no kids or any distractions. Don't tell her why, just ask her to be free at that time.
At the time, sit her down and say you're not a good talker so you've made a list. Ask her to read the whole list and fill out the column for herself. Offer to make her a cuppa or whatever she likes while she completes it. Then leave her alone. Tell her to let you know when she's finished. Go outside and wait.

And a couple of ground rules:
1. If she's talking, shut up and listen. Do not interrupt.
2. You may only say positive things from the list. All negative statements are banned. Only speak positive.

You may think this is a bit unusual, but I guarantee if you give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

Also, try to compare the negative fears you're expressing with the real positives you will write on the list. The negatives are only future possibilities - they haven't happened yet - they're not real now, and they don't have to ever happen. The good news is you have the power to prevent them from ever becoming real.
By comparison, the positives you will write on the list are real now - they are not future possibilties - they are present reality. They are real now.
So you have a choice - to concentrate on future negative possibilitieis, and so maybe cause them to happen - or to focus on present positive realities, and to reinforce them and extend them in the future.

The power to shape your future is yours. You have the power. Use it positively.

Oh, I'm a praying man, so that's what I'll be doing for you all.

And if we can work it out i would like her to go over to vickies for a night once a month to chill watch dvd's or just get drunk by herself & to now worry about us here as we will be ok.....

Please, you both should try to avoid getting drunk. Many who get drunk do things that they regret later, so try to avoid alcohol--it really does not help. Too many things people later regret are done under the influence of alcohol.

Those who drink to forget often find the alcohol helps them remember bad things, that they would otherwise have forgotton about.

Try to keep in mind that things can get better, and your kids love you both.

Try to pray about this, and I know this may be hard for you to do. Like disco mick I will be praying for you.

"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick [even those who a mentally sick], and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." James 5:15-16.

i wanna die so Karen & the kids can be happy

That's just it mate they would NOT be happy if you did. You'll have to have another idea cos that one ain't gunna work.

I have let everyone down...

That's what you'll do if you keep that thinking up.

Each day is a new day and you live one day at a time. Making this one better than the last. Leave behind tha things you can not change - and if they are that bad ask forgiveness for them by truly saying sorry.

Keep talking to us mate so that together the rest on the forum can keep helping you like we have so far.

OK this is where we are at , & yes it is my fault its at this stage , But i can fix this with some help & i have know idea as to how any of use can do to help... Years ago i was doing everything with karen everything, Well around here shopping & running around.. Now i do nothing because i get moody & bored & just use the excuse of a bad day there for Karen has to carry all the weight on her sholders...
Now karen has said that there must be something here for her as she is still here & she didn't act on her feeling...
She is having so much trouble in trusting me that this wont happen again & i stuff her over which i don't blame her , I do promise to make as much effort to win her love & trust back..
Now you locals can explain this , Karen has told me that she would be happy if i can do the running around with her around here as we realy don't have to go far for this. as everything we need is at Cardiff or Warners bay & i can get to these places without to much trouble & she would like me to go with her to help instead of her going in & out like a blue assed fly by herself, Share the load..& she will do anything out of my reach.
& she told me that even if i was to go & get my own smokes on my own sometimes would make a big differance as she would be very happy to just sit on the lounge by herself for the 10 mins without worrying about me or having to go out again some normality is what she wants & that is what she is going to get no mater what it takes & i will be making all the sacrefices this time not her ..
I have told Karen i realy don't need her to worry about me now BUT this is very hard for her to do after so long doing it..
So i have told her yes it is going to change & yes i am going to do it & keep it up .
& karen will still do any running around to the places i cant get to for now but i want to do this aswell with some time..
I have told Karen that she needs to make time for herself away from me to go out for lunch with Vickie or one of the other ladies she knows & even if she wants to go & stay over at Vickies for a night & watch girly movies & what not by her self no kids & no me & to not worry about us here as we will be fine & if we aren't i will ring Aus or Grockle, Fluids ,Drifter or some one just to say G'day so i don't think of it....
Now Karen is worried that if i have a bad day instaed of me getting over it in just a couple of days that i will relaps back to what it was , & i promise to do everything i can to avoid this from happening.. BUT she did say that yes she does realise i am going to have some bad days & is fine with that but if it started to look like it was heading south it could be realy bad . . . .
Now for the last 2 days i have run Karen everywhere & i even had a conversation with her boss for an hour , Today i went & picked up the papers & went to a beauty shop thingy with Karen to book in for a waxy thing & i have realy realy enjoyed it...

I would like to ask use to help me with some stuff as i have know idea as to what to do by myself never had to & i don't know about going out on my own going to get smokes is one thing but actualy going & doing something by myself is realy frightning as what if i say go to Aus's place on my own what if i just say G'day & leave ?
Anyone got anything i can do for them around here a bit latter Hey maybe i could take Aus for a drive somewhere close in a real landy,Hope you have a kidney belt Aus..

The only thing i am worried about is the feelings Karen has for this bloke is that she is booked in for next tuesday at 2pm to get the other side done & i'm scared that her feelings mite grow for him as he will be right up in her face to do the tattoo so yeah a little worried & yes i do TRUST Karen.. But i will not tell her she can't go back there because i cant after what she has done for me & if i did this she would rezent me for doing this.. & she has asked that i not get in touch with him myself & i respect her wishes but i am a little scared ...& like she said how many weman would tell there husbands about the feelings till it was time to tell him to hit the curb . . . . .

Karen is sitting on the floor next to me & she told me she is relaxed & i have seen her smile for the first time in a long while & its great....

She needs her time to sort it out in her head she says so i am trying to leave her alone ,Hard to do as i just want to hold her..

Tomorrow we have to go & deliver the papers as we didn't get them done so we will be out doing this for a bit then i am going down to get my smokes hopfully by myself as we finish the papers in our street so i can get my car & go get them & thats all we have to do & Karen said she would probably like to just sit at home speicaly if its raining...

I think i did a stupid thing yesterday i asked Karen to marry me again cause the funny thing is when Vickie called in on the weekend she is the nurse well one of her doctor friends wife is a sellabrant & she found out that she would marry us for around $200 at home & i actualy have the money to do this for the first time ..But i realy do want to get married . . . .

Anyway i hope you post after reading this Karen . I hope i have got all this right.. AND i want to fix this properly & I will not let you down again . . . .

PS I love you so much Karen its not funny as much as i need air to breath . . .
