Usta know Jim Airey fairly well. I was in the Merrylands District MCC, he was in the Fairfield DMCC.
At that time another mate that I went to school with at Horsley Park, Gordon ( Smutty ) Guasco, was killed at Parramatta.
Only lost one Mate to speedway but far to many on Tar.
Altho the speedway sidecar rider Chook Hodgkiss killed a passenger when he hit a stump about four feet from us at Winstanes, but that was short circuit not speedway. Winstanes was back in the days when Tony McCalpine was the best in the business.
I also remember now that I bought a 500 JAP solo speedway bike from Chook.
Ford that was all a long time ago.
